We aren't talking about making AJ1 numbers of these, we're talking about making more than the very few they obviously made. Again, matching supply and demand to maximize sales and minimize discounts at the same time. Other areas of collectibles have been doing this for years and years, and...
Yeah, real smart. Hype up a shoe and sell a tiny amount of them. Brilliant! Lol. Hype is pointless when you release so few pairs and it's not like they're going to come around and release more. So what are they hyping? Other colors no one will want? It doesn't work like that.
Even Nike...
These are really, really nice. Like super nice, especially with that navy inset on the bottom, which is almost always white on every ****ing III which I've never understood once they moved past OG.
These deserve a re-release so more can enjoy them. Worthy of OG status.
At least there is some precedent for this one, but it's still dumb and unnecessary. Someone is trying to justify their payroll. Just release the shoes everyone loves and make lots of money, why are you making it so much harder than that?
I don't need people less talented than Tinker reimagining any of these classics. We already had this once before and it was terrible, but obviously today people are dumber overall (just turning a swoosh backwards is considered talent) so it's worked so far. Disappointing to see. I'm not so...
If you want more pics of the shoes in this thread, you'd need fans to have actually been able to get them. Pretty telling how dumb this release was. There won't be "future hype" for something that basically barely exists, there's no one hyping it.
It does matter. Mistakes are mistakes and they do have consequences, even if they aren't immediate. Nike only has so long to milk the people who actually love Mike the player and watched that All Star game. This was an incredibly dumb release and a missed opportunity they won't get back.
Obviously dumb release but we all knew that even if the dumbasses at JB didn't. Another middle finger to true fans who like to enjoy good shoes and the player's legacy. Playing dumb**** games has hurt sales before and it will again. This reeks of Gentry and that's never a compliment...
These look great to me. I appreciate the accuracy and yes there are still tons of OG heads around. I see no point in OG retroes where they change a couple of things - that's not what made them popular in the first place, and no, you don't "know" better than Tinker and MJ did originally.
Don't...
The shoe looks doofy in the leather. Makes it look big and stiff (that's what she said).
I'm not sure why people have to convince themselves something is better just so they can keep spending money. I think we can all agree it's pretty obvious this isn't better than the OG. That's not to...
I thought Gentry got pushed out again? What is this trash release? It's easy to see why Nike doesn't have a customer service email. The sneakers app is a complete pointless joke.
For that matter so is ****'s new system. Used to be straightforward and could score there, now pointless like...
They ruined these with that pee sole. Easy pass now. Was actually hoping, since they can't help themselves in making changes to their own popular designs, that they might add the J O R D A N up the lace loops. You know they're going to release one with that someday. Would have been a good...
A little too boring. A nice black/white/red bulls colorway of these hasn't been done, but this isn't going to be it either. A lot of cool prototypes were floating around back in the day before he retired and they went white/black/indiglo.
