A lil too long for my liking with that Reptiglo light. I just set up my boys light that he uses for his fish tank. This UV bulb is so strong that it sent him to the hospital a week ago from staring at it for too long (like 20 seconds).
Be back with an update, if this doesn't work then I'll wait...
Has anyone found a light that actually gets results, if so what model/bulb number ect. I've been using some retiglo 26 watt, but it's not getting anything done. And the recipe works for the netting on 4s and 5s right? ('O1 Laneys & cements)
Quick tip: For applying the recipe, use a sponge...
They did turn out really well. I'm just now concerned about the longevity of the paint on the air bubbles. You know of any tricks to get the fog out when acetone doesn't work?
Got to working on these 95s from 99 last night. Before...
After...
I couldn't get the air bubbles clear (must have been foggy from the inside), so I opted to just paint them. Went with black bottoms and they now remind me of the Motorsport bottoms.
Yeah, didn't think of painting the midsole, especially not changing colors because it is very 11'ish. I really don't like the color way as-is though. I copped these before the QS's but never got the QS release. I'm still pondering some schemes but it will def include mainly royal on one of the 3...
You're painting the uppers right? It kinda looks like there's some recipe on the taped-up one.
Not a restore but I'm trying to think of what to do with these Penny's. Sticking with the white and royal colorway, and maybe some black. Suggestions? I could do the OG QS-Release colorway but idk.
Yep.. Add some dye into whatever you make your icing with (I use a retrobrite recipe). I'm thinking about doin it to my bred 01 bred 11s, to bring that 'Red' back.
I'm in Turlock. Just got in the restore game too... I got it all down (creases, icing/anti-yellow, painting). The only thing I need to get down is dying suede.
I've sold more shoes than I have bought these last 2 years, mostly because they are just re-releases and I've got most. Now I'm just...
Hi! First Post. Got in the restore game.. Read this thread a couple months ago a glad it's still active. I've taken before and after pics, just a lil tuff too post from the phone (any hints? Apple).
Ive gotten a general grasp of painting, whitening and creases out (the best that we can)...
