Anything less than a playoff win get rid of everyone. I don't care how Stafford looked today it doesn't erase his total body of work. So unless he leads us to a playoff win, something we haven't seen 24 years, blow it up.
The only thing above average about Stafford is his arm strength. Everything else you named is "toughness", "gun slinger mentality" etc not measurable. What is measurable? Accuracy: career 60% in a time where the rules have been slanted specifically help offenses. Who cares if you can throw it...
The argument that Stafford is the best QB we've ever had is asinine. That just means he's the best of a bad bunch. We have seen the best of this guy, that was 2011. We won nothing. You can't win with him unless your offensive line is perfect, your defense is perfect, receivers, special teams...
Personally I think this thing needs to be blown up now. We drafted Stafford 7 years ago and we are no closer to a SB now than we were then. Stafford out, Mayhew out, Caldwell, Lewand out. Trade CJ for picks if possible. Time to start over....again.
Bruh, I think we have already reached the event horizon. We are just waiting on Caldwell to have his "take the wind", "I don't coach that stuff", "throw the flag on a non-challengeable play", "run James Stewart 4 times in a row during preseason" moment and then his Lionization will be complete.
Just brutal, how many times have I seen this game before? I really just am over Stafford, he's the guy we have and I want him to do well but hopefully we are scouting college QBs this season.
You just can't take a TE that high, he's never going to live up to it. It's really more the of Lions' fault than Ebron's. But I think its an indication of the Lions actually think of Stafford that they continue to try get him "weapons".
And the end of fake football is upon us.
