I love the Kobe line of shoes. They got me back into the shoe game because of the low top performance. The 8's are by far my favorite. I like the 11's too, but I just wish the translucent rubber worked better or they had better colorways with solid rubber.

How well does the flyknit hold up against scuff's from playing? For example my Kobe 8 Elite's (green) would turn white around the toe from scuffs. I guess I slide around a lot.
If you really want Kobe's you can just trim the insole.
Kind of like this except you won't be add the full length zoom unit and would be putting the insole on top.
I feel your pain, same thing happened to mine. Now I'm afraid all my non-clear coat Kobe's will suffer the same fate. The clear coat ones like the volts and milk snakes seem much more durable. The coating is hard, it can scratch, but doesn't peel like the others.
Someone on youtube bought full length air units from ebay for $10-15 and modified the Kobe Insert to fit the unit.
