Ran the Oakland Marathon next to a guy with these on. First of all, they looked GREAT. He told me that he could really feel the sipping expanding and contracting, and that it helped absorb the impact, especially on the steep downhills of the course. He did mention that the collar was rubbing on...
So I was at the San Leandro (CA) Clearance Center this weekend, and they had their extra 20% off sale going on. I found the Total Crimson LT2's for $40!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pretty stoked about it. Only pair in the store, though, so someone messed up somehow.
Most Nike's I've run with have taken anywhere from 350-500 before dying. But my experience is that Zoom core stuff tends to last longer, because part of the LunarFoam appeal is the plush bounce and once that's gone the ride is much rougher. Hard to say, though.
To speak on how the sock-liner might feel, I imagine it's just a higher version of what they have on the free 3.0s right now. The issue with this, I guess, is the shoe itself has structure and the collar is the only portion that is elastic knit, whereas the 3.0s are all elastic and squeeze the...
I've put around 350 miles in two pairs respectively, 13+ runs, they do just fine.
That being said, I've moved to lunar tempo's since I saw what they're doing with the LunarEpic.
The sad thing is, if you take away the high collar, they look decent. If Nike is going this direction with all of their new lunar soles, it looks like I'll be stocking up on LT2's .
It kind of blows my mind that they have 4 black CWs on a shoe that came out a month ago. B/W, triple black, CP, and now these.
They are really great though and it's making my decisions difficult.
What are these?? They look like another round of the Santa Monica Collection from a while back. Which I loved, but I still couldn't justify running in white shoes.
So has anyone heard anything about the FKL4? We've had this model for a while, and Nike is rolling out that new chunky sole on the LG8. I'm curious to see if that carries over to the 4's.
