I say we make on official religious discussion thread that has some rules so it doesn't get sidetracked by the usual culprits and petty bickering. We need to sit back and discuss this stuff like the grown ups we all claim to be and show the people out there reading that we can do this the right way. What do ya'll think?

I would really love to have something where we really discuss scripture and interpretations from varying viewpoints without drowning each other out. Point for point and no name calling.

In all honesty, I am a fan of these threads. I've read every post so far, and haven't read many answers to questions asked. Just a lot of retaliation to the posters themselves.
I'm agnostic myself (not that it matters, you probably view me as atheist still), so that's why I'm so into it. I've taken world religion classes to get a better understanding of religions and to see what I believe in.

But how can I become religious if you guys don't put up a good fight and try and persuade me to understand your religion better?
All you guys do is use the scare tactics on me, and you can't even do that because you don't lead by example.
Religious believers, try and convert me. Persuade me, show me the way.

Just a lot of retaliation to the posters themselves. I'm agnostic myself (not that it matters, you probably view me as atheist still), so that's why I'm so into it. I've taken world religion classes to get a better understanding of religions and to see what I believe in. But how can I become religious if you guys don't put up a good fight and try and persuade me to understand your religion better? All you guys do is use the scare tactics on me, and you can't even do that because you don't lead by example. Religious believers, try and convert me. Persuade me, show me the way.
