It's different and some of you might not relate but when you grow up on Big, Jay, LL, Wu and Nas, you look at cats differently from the average rap fan. You talking about NYC radio. Angie, Enuff, Slay and Flex still play NYC cats. And then you can't forget about Clue. Hell Clue set the standard for breaking NYC artists with the mix tape which he revolutionized. That cats from other parts of the country was buying. That are now basically available for all since they're online. NYC is all politics and favors, but I'll be damned if an outsider tells me NYC radio doesn't play NYC artists but for an hour. y'all be the first ones listening to Flex and fiendin for radio rips on Nahright and Rap Radar then talking about how Flex jocks Jayz

Ur ipod resembles a broad's playlist...you look for an artist, and all u got is mad singles Every rap fan that has 2 ¢'s knows vado earned his rap stripes on da boss of all bosses series..ur attempts At marginalizin vado to "couple of songs" looks well rooted in sodium A NY rap fan picking vado over a$ap, and that isn't cuz da fan is "biased" hell they both from harlem...fact of da matter is Vado Is a MC, with wordplay & lyrical dexterity which we respect a helluva lot more then flat out "riding da beat"

Fader is usually good at predicting breakout artists, and it seems they're on the money...but it all seems to have been an engineered effort to me. That's just me looking at it from an industry standpoint though. Here's an article XXL did on Payola in online media: http://www.xxlmag.com/blo...line-hip-hop-journalism/ But it exists on the radio too. It was just weird to me that only Enuff played his stuff.
