Both talk about their fame and getting in the rap game and bonin' chicks and both have clever punchlines. Glover's voice might be a little higher pitched but both know how to rhyme. I'll give Drake the nod on making bigger radio hits and being a better singer but only by a little. But it's definitely a fair comparison. Drake will have the numbers but Donald could definitely hold his own rapping against Drake and Camp is equally as good as Take Care and not anywhere near as bloated. Death is a career move.

Dude seems like a lame that's socially awkward, but he knows how to rap. Drake seems like a lame but he's mad charismatic and he also knows how to rap. Star power comes into play. Glovers rap puts me in the same mind frame as luda. From a technical standpoint, its near perfect, but there are intangibles that both artists lack imo. I can't quite put my finger on it, but its like a combination of passion, life experience and believability. Amazing skills, but they just don't hit home with me. Even Glovers label said something to the effect as his image isn't marketable. Does no one find it odd that he's not on the cover of his own album? Son has no swag. Lupe syndrome. I haven't heard either album in their entirety, but I think Camp will sound amazing and get boring quickly and take care will be good for a long long time. Plus the name childish gambino is a joke in and of itself. He got it from an online wu tang name generator (allegedly). in a nutshell, if both of them were my little bros, drake would be the one that would kick it with the most and I would pick on donald. It's more of an act that falls into the Young Money image. Gambino on the other hand raps about his life experiences. Going to a white school, getting picked on, falling in love at camp only to get his heart broken, his odd obsession with Asian girls . It's stuff Drake probably went through but would never put into his raps Don't get me wrong, Drake is a great rapper. I was just comparing their two most recent albums. That's all this thread was.
