Registered Member Posts: 5870 12/26/11 1:02 AM	In the beginning, the Lakers were depressing me with their play. Then they turned it around and played like they deserved the win. Doubt it will be a regular thing but certain dudes stepped up to overcome the Bulls. Shocking how they lost. Kobe not getting some calls once again was telling. Dude is not getting that respect or benefit of the doubt from the refs when he penetrates. Straight up bad pass in the end and put himself in terrible position to win the game; he should've faded with a jump shot not some weak running hook shot/layup Rip showed some good things. As for Rose, aint much to say except it was impressive how he got his team to win when he really didn't do much. Dropped a handful of 3s, was ghost at some important stretches of the game but is the key part when it matters most. He'd probably be one of my fav players if he wasn't playing for the Chicago {[]}ies. OKC vs. ORL was boring. Dude has a lazy shot too, doesn't even jump but he was water on that pick and roll with Dwight and the PG then the crosscourt skip pass because for some reason the Thunder stay overhelping. Thabo made all of his outside jumpers, don't expect that too often nor do I expect Russell to miss that many midrange shots that are usually his bread and butter. Everything else was about as expected. KD obviously had on Coppers, so did Royal Ivey and Reggie Jackson, and KD's brother on the sidelines. Dude down at the front desk told me a funny story about having to kick JR Smith and his girlfriend out last yr because JR was smoking so much weed, even with the ozonator it stunk up the whole floor

I remember the Mavs did the same thing to Ben Wallace and been tried to run a little bit, also tried in bounding the ball and standing out of bounds thinking he couldn't be fouled there. Then Walt Williams looked at the ref and was like, "Can I foul him" and the ref nodded, so he fouled him again

Tonight it really seemed like he was subconsciously chucking to make up for the fact that he isn't the main ball handler. The Lakers will be very strong defensively once they get Bynum back. He showed he can be a force last year in long stretches, and Mike Brown's defensive credentials coupled with the way they looked on that end today bodes well for them. Not sure why there is all this panic going around among their fans. You're not going to be the favorites every damn year, but I believe they have a very good chance of being there at the end (WCF or Finals). Gotta admit, I really missed Hubie Brown's dulcet tones filling my living room.

They'll think it's gravy when they play the Knicks this Wed. too but when they play one of the other better playoff teams in the West or just better 2 guards, fans will be pissed off with Billups A LOT
