IS had 40k on it. GS430 had 60k and GS300 had 60k. They're come with 3 yr/ 100k warranty and I got in at 1.9% for the IS and 2.9% for the last GS. Paid cash for the 430 which was the stupidest thing to do.

NTer swear that you can make back your liquid so easily. I rather "throw" away $300 a month a note than throwing away thousands at once.

You would be right if it were an asset that would appreciate in value over the long term.  However, typical depreciation on a vehicle is about 50% in the first 5 years so paying a premium for that privilege is not something that's smart to do.  Some cars like the Prius may hold their initial value longer, but look at mid 2000's models now and they're going for less than half of what the owner originally paid for it.  Luxury cars are even worse.  7 of the top 10 worst depreciating models were luxury cars.
