If it helps, it's a 2 bedroom, full bath, dining room, kitchen (200sq ft), fully remodeled, backyard and all. 1800 sq ft each house. They pay 1k. My mortgage is only $800 and the escrow is 2 and change. Been thinking about moving into my garage and renting my house out.

Update: Spoke with my landlord/friend and told him that I won't be moving in this weekend and will be looking for cheaper housing. He got a little pissed, but is a silver spoon child so I know he'll be fine. His mom is stupid rich. He offered to reduce the rent to $500/month. I think he was given the house by his parents and is now just trying to make a buck off of me and my other future roommate. Don't really know what to make of the situation, but don't give too much of a damb either because I know his family's background.

Why don't you just look at what similar houses around there are renting for. The other question you have to ask yourself is....do you want to live with this person? Is he the type of person who's gonna pull some "Well it's my house and whatever I say goes"?
