- TNA star Kurt Angle says WWE is knocking on his door but he’s sticking with TNA. When a fan asked Angle if he would be showing up at WWE’s Royal Rumble, he replied:

“Nope! I’m Happy Where I Am. No Rumble for Me!!!! My Loyalty Is With Tna. Wwe Is Knocking On My Door, But I Won’t Answer.”

Earlier in the week, Angle told Jim Ross:

- WWE has signed independent wrestler Jody Kristofferson to a developmental deal. Jody is the son of actor and musician Kris Kristofferson.

Kristofferson impressed Triple H months ago at a tryout, even more when he found out who his father was, and word is that the deal has been in place for some time but WWE didn’t want it getting out. Jody finished up with the APW promotion in California this weekend and will likely start with FCW in Tampa next month.




- Regarding Vince McMahon pulling WWE Champion CM Punk from the UFC on FOX event later this month, there are a lot of people within WWE shaking their heads at the decision.




After speaking with several WWE sources over the weekend, the company does not currently have plans to bring in any outside talent for this year’s Royal Rumble match.

Unlike last year’s Royal Rumble match, which featured 40 wrestlers and saw names like Booker T and Kevin Nash make their WWE returns, reports say that this year’s match is more likely to focus on names that are already with the company, and if there are any surprise entrants, they will likely be names such as The Undertaker, who is not considered an “outside talent.”

Creative has been discussing the idea of potentially featuring a few FCW developmental talents in the match this year, although this has not been confirmed. It is more likely, however, if there are a few slots left in the match to fill, that WWE will go with in-house names rather than outside names making a “one-time appearance/return.”
