That is a tough problem to think about. Hmm.

1. Put an end to a Federal Reserve and replace it with a Government ran equivalent. There is absolutely no reason why a privately owned company should have say over the printing of money. That doesn't even make sense to me.

2. Stop the "War on Drugs." We already have laws in place for anything that a person on drugs might do. There's no need to waste millions of dollars for police to go hunting in the woods for grow patches. I'd also legalize marijuana for sale, tax it heavily, and impose import tariffs on companies so that they are encouraged to build greenhouses on American soil to make more jobs.

3. Stop the "War on Terrorism" and withdraw a majority of our military from occupation in other countries. While having stations in places like Korea, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East makes sense... there's no need to have bases in Panama, Spain, and many other locations spread throughout the globe.

4. Enforce deadlines for clean/renewable energy and penalize oil companies for each reported spill HEAVILY, as well as providing proof of an effort to clean up the spills along with statistical analyses of the area(s) affected. This will encourage the oil companies to run more efficiently, save them money from lost profits, and create more money for the government.

5. Force CEOs/owners of corporations in need of bailout to contribute with their own funds at a set percentage of at least 20%, and penalize them if/when their parachute package increases.

6. Upgrade the electrical grids across the nation. The current infrastructure is pretty much obsolete. The power equipment we use now is outdated with higher rates of failure, have higher cost in upkeep, and aren't powerful enough as a realistic option as our power demands increase. We have technology that would do it much more efficiently, that could provide more power, and will have lessened cost of both development and upkeep.

7. End privately funded presidential campaigns. There is no reason why a presidential candidate should be able to receive millions of dollars from anyone, much less unnamed donors. Along with that I would create regulations on lobbying. Capitol Hill is a free for all, and money is pretty much the only thing that talks there.

8. Universal Health Care. That's just a given. Being one of the few "developed" countries without a universal standard is just dumb.

9. Rebuild the farming system in America. Stop subsidizing corn and other crops so heavily. Put an end to Monsanto, along with any companies like them.

That's all I can think of for now.
