Registered Member Posts: 957 01/24/12 4:01 AM	Tags : None YO NT. So, I am going into my second semester of my fourth year. I'm not graduating this semester. Probably going to need 1 more or another 2. I have A LOT of opportunities lined up for this fall. Will be traveling to many cities on tour and will be putting in work on YouTube. School starts tomorrow and I have no classes yet. I have to crash all my courses. I REALLY want to take this semester off and do what I need to do and come back fresh next semester, but my moms is KILLING me about it. She basically said if I don't go to school, I'm not her son. lol. How did you get it by your parents that you need some time off? Over the past few weeks and months I've seen how your channel has grown in popularity(and quality). With that said, it's your life, not hers. Currently taking my first year off(was originally going to take off the fall semester[unplanned]), now I'm trying to find my self and cope with my own problems. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do this summer or fall. Maybe school, maybe something else. School will always be there.

To be clear, I took a semester off and because of that I have gained real life experience that set me apart from other peers at my university. Now im working, most of my friends/college peers are either still in school (post grad) or are struggling in the real world. 79

Registered Member Posts: 787 01/24/12 6:44 AM	go for it! life is all about taking chances. if you just wanted to take a semester off to screw around and "find yourself" i would say you were being stupid considering you are almost done, but you have a wealth of opportunity staring you in the face. you already have shows and stuff lined up. when it's all said and done, you may not need that degree. take the chance and see whats out there and see if you can hit the jackpot. i dropped out after 1 semester to persue a music career. it didn't work out, but i ended up going back and finishing my degree and a have a good job. basically, i said that to say that school will always be there, but the opportunity to be successful at what you truly love may not be.

BUT make sure you actually go back lol..good luck
