If not there, I'd say Oswalt goes to St. Louis. Would be shocked if the Sox didn't get one of em. PSN - Bigbobbs87

Three players making $20 million per? Let's not forget, the defense is going to be very shoddy at best in the infield. I suppose the Fielder signing will pay dividends if Detroit can manage to win a World Series in the next year or two. I understand the dire need to replace V-Mart, but committing $214 million over nearly a decade long contract? Winged Wheel, you're severely mistaken if you don't think Joey Votto will get a significantly larger contract than Prince's in free agency (probably upwards of $250 million). Jim Leyland is going to have a lot of important decisions on his hands this season. I read the Nats were the other serious ball club in contention for Prince's services along with one "mystery" team. I'm guessing it had to be the Texas Rangers with first base being their only real achilles' heel. I know the Dodgers made an initial offer, but I'm still surprised they along with Seattle didn't push harder for one of the biggest names in the FA market. Texas is still my pick to win the AL West over the Angels even without Fielder. In terms of the pitching market Boston is obviously the club with biggest need for quality and depth, especially to compete with the Yanks and Rays. I could see Edwin Jackson signing a one-year deal with the Red Sox or Tigers. I'm surprised Jackson isn't commanding more interest given his ability to give lots of innings over a long season. Roy Oswalt is another option but he clearly prefer the Rangers or Cardinals. If not Jackson or Oswalt, expect a trade with the White Sox for Gavin Floyd. Floyd can be a wild at times but he's probably a safer option and certainly cheaper than Oswalt. Sportsline is doing a "Who Would You Rather Have" edition. Kimbrel/Storen wasn't that difficult to choose but Ellsbury/Grandy is an interesting comparison. I'm taking Ellsbury because he's younger and one of the best outfielders in baseball defensively. Plus Granderson has experienced trouble hitting against left-handers in the past and we all know Yankee Stadium is friendly to left-handed batters. Some experts believe Jacoby's power surge last year was a mere mirage, but I think the pop in his bat is real as I've told Nowitness on many occasions. However, I will admit that we should be prepared to see a slight drop in Ellsbury's numbers as pitchers adjust. Champ - NJs MVP - Eagles - Sixers - Indians - Buckeyes - Wildcats
