React Havoc feels like the old fingertrap free trainer in some ways, but softer. It has enough support for lateral movement and was not too cushy for lifting but I would have preferred something a little firmer. For running, better for distance than speed work. I like it, but would prefer a next...
Nothing from Nike, as above, they are focusing on the Metcon, free sole seems to have fallen out of favor. The performance shoes aren't selling as well as the lifestyle shoes, and Nike seems to really be putting all their energy into that. It's probably why they went with the Pegasus for the...
Nike is releasing a UNC pair of the 55s, but I haven't seen any coaches or managers wearing them. I did catch a photo of Mack Brown wearing the Jordan React Havoc. The other coaches are wearing a shoe I can't ID, looks like a Jordan Proto something.
Heels, Sooners, Gators, Wolverines,
Was depressed about having Pegasus for Week Zero this year (I already have a University Blue pair), but today I saw a Carolina football practice video. It looks like the coaches were wearing the Jordan React Havoc in the Smurf colorway. I haven't seen a...
Saw these on a UK site listed as Free TR 9 Ultra.... If this is the upgrade to the TR 8, looks like I'll be going with Jordans on week zero... Guess we'll have to wait and see. TBH none of the school/Jordan branded trainers have done much for me. Has anyone seen anybody actually working out in...
First thing I've seen of the UNC version of the v8. Looks okay. I like the subtlety of the branding. I prefer just having team colors and one team logo (maybe on the tongue or insole) rather than the big logos.
Equipment manager at UNC just posted a pic of the Jordan trainers football is getting. They look like a cross between the Grind 2 and the Relentless. Last time someone posted their pics elsewhere they took the photos down so I won't post, just check the UNC equipment twitter.
I don't know for sure. The teams that aren't football and basketball got the frees last year, I don't see that they would change things. So at least Nike's making them. I'd rather have the Jordan running shoe than that trainer.
The bay has an Aug 3 release date for the Jordan 2, and the week zero on the 14th. Decisions, decisions.
Btw, has anyone tried on the Jordan 2 (in some other color obvs)? If it isn't functional as a trainer, I might skip.
Last I heard only the week zero would be available to the public for sure. It makes sense for that one and the Jordan 2 to be released given what Nike/Jumpman did with UM.
No official release date yet, but it looks like we will def get a chance to buy at some point.
RE: UNC Jordan trainers. For some reason, the football equipment manager took the photos of the Jordan trainers down. Could be a sign that at least the Grinds won't be sold to the public. Some one up thread posted what looks to be a catalogue photo of the flyknit trainers, and I wouldn't be...
