Norcal's GRUB Thread

Im going to Pican in oakland later on tonight.....its like a fancy soul food spot. I wanted to know if anybody has tried either their duck or pork belly? how was it? I know their fried chicken is cool but i want something different

This response is mad late (almost a month late), wish I saw it sooner so I can give you a heads up. Their pork belly is definitely on point. As for the Duck I'm not too sure about it. However they started a brunch menu on saturdays and if you like sweets, then the Red Velvet Waffle might be up your alley.

Definitely need to try Little Star.

Finally had a chance to try Sushiritto. I don't think it's worth the money.

Have you tried Dickey's Barbeque Pit? Never heard of it until I saw a commercial on TV today. It's a chain restaurant though.
A little late, but yes I have. The first one I seen was in Fremont, it was ok. The sandwiches are decent, but I honestly can't even remember how the ribs were :smh:. I'm going to say that they weren't that good if I can't even remember.

Yo fellow NT'ers, im coming to the bay area for the first time ever late November! i don't have time to go thru 38 pages of goodness.  Someone help me out with like a list categorized by cuisine would be :pimp:

Its just gonna be me and my girl, she loves sushi so i need a least a good spot.
