Why wouldn't he be? Roy talked about the same thing all the time

UNC isn't out there in bidding wars or just taking any talented player

I can’t just assume that HD is that way because Roy was. He hasn’t exactly came out and said it as bluntly as Roy or Hurley

One of the reasons why Caleb transferred was because of his parents from what I remember

lol so where are all the UConn players dipping for the portal?

The he'll does that have to do with UNC?

That's been UNC bball for half a century. Just don't think there's reason to believe HD will stray from that approach and imo one of the reasons Roy wanted HD

A difference though between being about it and being about to achieve it. Hurley is in a class of his own right now

I thought Love's dad was pretty fair when he made public comments about the program. Even after departure. Caleb leaving was a lot of things

Roy is the same guy who was leading an academic cheating program 🤣

My point though was they have had a number of highly touted 4 and 5 star recruits that have left. Is that not exactly who Hurley is talking about avoiding?

Ok Dan Kane

Really just Love and a number of guys wanting bigger roles or paychecks that UNC couldn't promise

UConn had 3 transfers and a de-commitment the year before winning it b2b. It is what it is in new college hoops

That’s EXACTLY who he was talking about avoiding! UConn has had nowhere near the number of players leave since NIL started.

Good teams will have less roster turnover than underachieving ones

22-23 UConn as the bar for roster building in the NIL era is an absurd standard even for Hurley

And the ones who left haven’t cost them anything.

UNC lost 7 and came back a 1 seed
