Game at 1 on ESPNU :smokin,Cal says Kenny Payne will be coaching today so that him and Tony Barbee can observe from the sidelines.This will be a tougher game I think,4 of their starters are former NBA guys.

I doubt he will start ,but I definitely see Drews minutes going down..I just wonder if Cal will continue this strategy of mass subs into the regular season or if he is only using it because of the situation, 6 games in 8 days. I like it though.
 
I always wondered what happened to Da'Sean Butler,last time he saw UK was when West Va. knocked them out of the tourney :smh:

I haven't been paying much attention to the commentary, but has there been any reasoning to the wholesale substitutions?
 
Always been a fan of Towns, liked him more than Mudaiy and Cliff.

A very Gasol-ian combo of passing, shooting, and post play.


Kentucky looks scary, without WCS or Lyles. They have a real point gaurd now in Ulis.

The depth will be crazy.

Cal just has to do the right thing and bench Andrew Harrison in high leverage situations.

Everyone is saying due to the amount of games in a short period,6 games in 8 days in a hot environment is probably pretty tough.

Stats:
Booker- 3 points,1 board,4 steals
Drew Harrison - 5 points,3 boards,6 assists,1 steal
Aaron Harrison- 5 points,2 steals
Poyhtress 16 points,8 boards,2 steals,1 assist :smokin
Dakari 10 points,4 boards
Lee- 7points,1 assist,3 boards
Ulis- 6 points,3 assists,3 rebounds
Hawkins-7 points,1 assist,1 steal
Willis- 3 points,1 steal,2 assists,5 boards- solid game for Willis
Towns- 19 points,10 boards,3 assists :smokin :smokin I would love to see him average something close to this,this season.

UK was + 20 on the boards 38-18 with 12 of them being offensive boards

It's just August and they are just exhibition games so I'm trying not to get my expectations too high but this team is good,it's like Jay Bilas said "You could split this UK team in half and have two Top 20 teams" It's hard not to get a little excited. :smokin
 
I love what Cal is doing with the offense, lots of horns sets, some with Towns as a passer in the high post, some eventually leading to a Towns post up. Lots of Ulis pick and rolls.

Marcus Lee looks stronger.

I hope Trey Lyles doesn't get lost in the shuffle, still believer in his talent.

Ain't nothing changed. I still hate Andrew game still picking up his dribble almost half court. Kid is so terrible at the 1, Ullis is the real deal and what this team needs.

Quite the opposite. I just let it flow like a Big L freestyle. I'm usually posting on-the-move. Like commuting on the bus or multitasking at work. No filter, hence the outlandishness.
