this killed me

i dont think Kentucky is unbeatable and i just think Kansas is a little over ranked this year...dont have any point guard play....BUT...you cannot go cold from the outside and beat this team....as always outside shooting may doom them come tourney though....whats stopping a Kentucky and Duke final? that would be epic...ill be there so i wouldnt mind that happening
Not trying to sound "homerish" but how can you say KU doesn't have PG play? I thought Frank Mason and Graham actually did a fine job last night...it was once they get inside that they had problems (along with every other KU player)

Didn't know Briscoe already signed his LOI thought he was waiting until spring....

Yup :smokin .. gonna check him out at a few of the local holiday tourneys around here next month.

Great win last night, I said we would win by double figures but I didn't think it would be by 32  .. my only worry with our squad is the outside shooting, not as bad as last season but somebody has to be the guy we can count on when we need a 3 late in the shot clock similar to Doron Lamb.

When are top NBA prospects going to stop signing on to play for a Bill Self coached offense?

Okafor n the whole Kentucky squad was ballin ....but still waiting to see who's gon be the one player that's a threat to get big buckets or do some crazy **** every game this season

LOL. Did you miss Memphis in the preseason? I'm more shocked that this is a shock to you.
False hope. You know how it is, I'm overly loyal to Pastner from the Arizona tree.

With the amount that you post, I would have never guessed.
Multitasking.

Absolute travesty.

How much you guys think UK would have beat Duke by last night? 10-15ish?
Single-digits.

Also, I am assuming your guys' issue with Self's offense is the fact that it is so inside-out oriented?

...got away with it at times in the past...not gonna work this year.

Trying to talk myself off the ledge. Told myself not to overreact to any sort of conclusion, but, my goodness, that was awful.
I'd panic if KU looks this poorly after UF and Utah, two very tough games.

Mason was awful. I don't even mind the poor shooting so much, but 0 assists, really?

See, Idk if I'd call him "awful"...he was really bad at driving to shoot, not driving to pass, got himself in trouble. I think 0 assists came from KU just not making many shots (can't have an assist if your teammate doesn't make the shot)...thought he controlled the ball well though, didn't have any turnovers.

I answered that and added my 2 cents too
Dude, you were right about laying off ranked opponents (Sparty +8, major miss).

Definitely liked Mason more than Tharpe, we'll see what he has to offer against Kasey Hill and Taylor/Wright.

yea I hate those type match ups...I feel like books are sharper w/ those lines

I find obscure lines they don't put much focus into

They say leave emotion out the game, couldn't be more true with Memphis year-in and year-out. Pastner has cost me the value of a M3.

Or that it just blatantly sucks and doesn't ever show the skill level of the high level recruits that he brings in and yearly makes people wonder why most of them were ranked so highly?

At least Cliff Alexander was still able to hold his own on the glass and Oubre showed flashes near the ending of the first half.

Selfs offense is good for big men and limits the decision the guards have to make, thats probably a good thing for this roster.

The bigger issue is on D, Oubre, Cliff, were horrendous on defense. Perry Ellis, Traylor are also bad, Frank Mason is small.

Mason had 1 dime....for whatever reason kansas hasnt been able to get that elite point guard to run the team...their PG play is suspect...i think that is whats missing from the team...to just get guys in right spots and run good offense...i dont think they have that guy on team...im kinda disappointed in selden...might have to be 4 year player
