I can't even remember my reasoning for picking ND over UK. Not surprising because I probably wouldn't be able replicate that bracket without looking at it.

I assume you're referencing Anya as NC State's defensive answer to Martin and Mickey, who are both walking double-doubles. Wolfpack definitely ended the regular season and conference tournament. Unlikely road victories at L-Ville and UNC earned my respect and got my attention. They have a bad, unfortunate tendency to play down to their competition. Wake and BC are bad losses any way you slice it. Matchup of styles against LSU, NC State is definitely guard heavy relying on the trio of "Cat," Lacey, and Turner. I feel the glue guy and potential difference-maker for Jones' squad is Quarterman. Of course Hornsby will have to hit a big shot or two down the stretch, he's by far their best perimeter threat. I can understand if you like Gottfried's tournament experience over Jones', having been to a Sweet 16 with the same program in 2012 and Elite 8 with Bama in '04. Whereas Johnny Jones is in uncharted territory, limited success with LSU and North Texas.
I won't get into seeding too much, although one could argue Arizona belonged as a #1 seed. Beat the Zags head-to-head in OT, Wisky has a very bad loss to RU (sorry to my alma mater), and UVA lost two of their last three games down the stretch. Regardless I'm more passionate about the Temple and CSU snubs than Zona being a #2 or KU receiving a #2 seed over ISU and ND. Jayhawks won the B12 regular season title for the eleventh time in a row. Cyclones beat Kansas head-to-head two out of three times this season, en route to securing the B12 tournament.
I can't convince myself that Hunter and Harrow can shoot over Baylor's 1-3-1 zone effectively.
I love Davidson to win two games. Their offense is so balanced, can hurt opponents so many different ways. They run the floor and chuck threes. Also well-coached in protecting the basketball, limiting turnovers will huge come tourney time.
To answer your first question, I'm not an on-air personality. I've worked behind-the-scenes in production, which was a blessing in the form of valuable experience. Since moved into the news sector because quite frankly, it pays better. I hope one day to reenter the sports arena, when the time and money are right. My opinion is that being an on-air analyst largely depends on TV executives and how well you connect with fans sitting in bars and on their couches. Not solely the knowledge base, which is widely available to the public if you spend time watching tape and reading articles.

Feel free to post in this thread or PM any specific tourney games you're struggling with. I myself am having a very hard time with VCU/OSU and UNI/L-Ville, assuming both of those squads advance to the second round.
Lastly, it's impossible to watch everything particularly because I have a wide sports interest and base. I used to write professionally for boxing and MMA, but that consequently weakened my emphasis and focus on other sports. The one thing I have working for me is a bachelor lifestyle in a major city. I devote an absurd (to many) amount of time and money on sports and try to watch every game deemed important live. Otherwise reading articles, expert opinions, and/or relying on sports contacts/friends I unequivocally trust.

Allegiance is a strong word and probably the incorrect one. I definitely have associated myself with Pastner in years past, largely due to his Arizona ties as an assistant under Lute Olson. Hell of a recruiter, but the early November loss vs. Wichita tells you all you need to know about his in-game coaching. A 4-year-old could see the offense runs more fluid when Goodwin and Nichols receive a touch in the paint. Yet Memphis passed the ball around the perimeter, running the clock down, and forcing up bad perimeter shots.

Stephen Curry turned out to be like, the best shooter ever and Davidson was legitimately good top to bottom - didn't lose games to montana, Northern arizona, Portland St and Sacramento St.
I've watched them and this would be worse than FGCU, easily. That's not to say it can't happen. It definitely can, it'd just be the worse one so far. The talent/size gap is drastic and they don't even defend a little bit and they play a standard man - which benefits Georgetown.

Not a homer thought at all. Brey's lack of March success is incredibly alarming. Is his current team much better than the ones he marched into the tournament with in 2007, 2008, or 2011?
My three largest concerns with ND: Inefficient defensively, jump shooting teams are bound to run cold, and the Irish don't generate enough second-chance points.

The rebounding is what sticks out most to me about ND,their 3 leading rebounders are 6'5,6'10 and 6'1,I don't know how that will work against UK who has two 7 footers on the floor at most times..I have only seen them in the ACC tourney,but do they play a pace that is favorable to UK?

I obviously haven't watched them and looking at the numbers they really do seem to stink, by far the worst 13th seed by every rating system.
Just with georgetowns history If I was a fan
I would be irrationally worried about that Tyler Harvey kid. The Davidson really isn't all that embarrassing looking back, Davidson was way WAY under seeded and a was a bad matchup for the hoyas. not to mention the greatest shooter ever.

im fairly new to the sports forum which is funny because ive been on NT for over a decade.
i def need to contribute more, def fantasy football. not to humble brag but ive won my league 2 out of 5 years placing top 3 the others.
and the leagues no joke either, theres actually a waiting list and people sell off their spots in the rare occasion they want out or can no longer afford it.
won my bracket last year as well...but my knowledge is nowhere NEAR @ChampCruThik .
i won on a system i made up relying heavily on just offensive rebounding and foul percentage.
....it was more than likely luck, but i hit 92% of the first two rounds. :::kanye shrug:::

as far as this bracket goes, i havent dove into it full blast yet, ill post my picks probably Wednesday.
my early thoughts however are:
-i personally dont think Kentucky will win it all. on paper im leaning towards Wisconsin and Arizona, but i cant get Virginia off my mind.
- (i will fill out a kentucky bracket though just to be safe)
- unlike most years, i see a close to chalk final 4. i think there was a huge drop off of talented teams outside of the top 15.
-the ease of decsions by the selection committee coupled with the fact that nobody really contested said decisions, i think, supports my chalklike final 4, possibly elite 8.
- Duke will be the first #1 eliminated, i dont know where though. maybe someone can help me with finding this. i think because someone will figure out a way to get Okafor in foul trouble and that will definitely shake things up for the blue devils. not sure which team can/will do this yet.
