The College Basketball Post

You should post all ur thoughts in the actual MM thread.

Grant out at Bama, where do they go with that job?
I poked around a bunch of Bama boards and it seems their wish list is kinda pipe dreams,Brad Stevens,Greg Marshall,Archie Miller,Jamie Dixon,Scott Drew....Also seen a lot of talk about Steve Prohm, which is probably more realistic..

Someone from a high mid-major for sure. That list of wish candidates is comical

George Mason's Final Four run was almost 10 years ago.

Jesus Christ time flies...

champ is fire when it comes to fantasy football stuff as well.
Ready for another successful season. Would like to defend my NT Keeper title 3 years running.

The rebounding is what sticks out most to me about ND,their 3 leading rebounders are 6'5,6'10 and 6'1
Currently, I have Butler upsetting ND in the second round. I've discussed Brey's lack of tournament success already. Zach Auguste is their tallest player in the rotation (6'10'') and second best rebounder statistically.

Although I'm healthily skeptical whether Butler can get past Texas. I think either team that wins this 6/11 matchup defeats ND. Butler plays stifling defense and ND wouldn't be able to expose them in the interior. Butler's opening game against Texas is a bad matchup because of their interior front-court prowess and shot-blocking ability. However, in Barnes' last five tournament trips, he hasn't gotten past the third round which is just as alarming as Brey's track record.

And touts Juwan Staten as a top player in the NCAA
You've mentioned this point and the Pastner dig an unusual amount of times. Disagreement is healthy, but your tendencies are borderline obsessive.

im fairly new to the sports forum which is funny because ive been on NT for over a decade.

won my bracket last year as well...but my knowledge is nowhere NEAR @ChampCruThik
 .

i won on a system i made up relying heavily on just offensive rebounding and foul percentage.
Welcome. Please post more in the future.

Nah, man. I like to think we're all on the same level of sports knowledge. Just with different concentrations and specialties, which makes NT incredibly resourceful and complimentary. I feel remaining modest and humble disallows complacency and stokes the fire for additional learning and growth.

Offensive boards is a major trait in Final Four teams.

-i personally dont think Kentucky will win it all. on paper im leaning towards Wisconsin and Arizona, but i cant get Virginia off my mind.

- Duke will be the first #1 eliminated, i dont know where though. maybe someone can help me with finding this.

- dont sleep on Arkansas
I agree with your first point. I have Zona over UK in the Final Four. The Wildcats can deal with Kentucky's length and defensive prowess. My concern is generating enough points, offensively they lack an abundance of reliable shooters.

Bit bold and risky, but I have Duke out second round to SDSU. Fisher's boys struggle to score points much like Arizona, but they grind defensively on every possession. Shepard has a heavy load and burden offensively. Duke doesn't defend well as a team, which ultimately will be their downfall.

Outside of Portis, Hogs are a tad undersized which I feel UNC can exploit in the second round with Meeks, Johnson, James, etc. Their pace is key and also forcing turnovers, which Arkansas generates quick, easy points out of. No different than WVU in that aspect.

I just finished my bracket. Got UMD winning it all
I respect everybody's thought process and intuition. Personally I have Valpo upsetting UMD first round. Walker's injury plays a huge part in that prediction coming to fruition. The key cog is Alex Peters, who I think can exploit his matchup with Layman. I actually have Valpo going two rounds because they play suffocating defense and clean up the boards nicely. Although they haven't played stiff competition up to par with UMD, plus the Terps are extremely good in finishing close-game situations.

Pull ya skirt down, B. Especially since you made that post all of a month ago. There's no way in hell I've repeatedly mentioned it. Haven't even posted in here that much this year.

Take it FWIW, but there are rumors circulating that St. John's will have 3 more players suspended....

hearing it might just be two walk ons and a role player that doesn't even get much burn. lavin needs to go. can't even keep his team focused for the last few games of the year

This spring weather in NYC got these boys actin' a fool early.

No lie, St. Johns need a Shaka type. Wonder what that basketball budget looking like in Queens.

I want Bobby Hurley. Great ties to the local recruiting scene, can coach, looks ready for the challenge.

SJU has the money, don't let them fool you, they're just cheap and shady as ****.

I was a student at GMU at that time. **** was crazy. They cancelled classes after the Sweet 16 game. When they beat Wichita State in DC to go the Final Four...it was pure pandemonium on campus. Chicks was running around w/ their ******* out.
