Russell seems like a conscious basketball player.
He fouled homeboy hard driving to the rack. Rather than let him be, he goes over to check and see if he's ok so it doesn't become a flagrant 1
At about 2:45, his teammate inbounds the ball and throws it right towards him. Knowing they're pressed for time, Russell let's it go as far as it can before grabbing it.
He seems to do the little things.

They're nowhere near the same player. Isola is an assclown.
Russell just can't compete with grown men yet. He'll get there in time, he's a brilliant passer, solid shooter. He just needs to mature phsyically and learn how to finish in traffic. He won't be able to finesse his way into the NBA right away.
That Jennings comment is beyond dumb though. Jennings is a mediocre passer with a shaky perimeter game that relies on a step back to hide his lack of explosiveness and ability break defenders down off the dribble.
