The College Basketball Post

I see Pitino let his 5th year transfers take the brunt of the ACC media day onslaught. That feels like some strategic yet cowardly shhh to me.
Definitely planned that way, they couldn't get any real answers out of two guys that weren't even there when all this went down, probably smart but cowardly as you said...

Jeff Goodman notes :

"Villanova edged out Maryland today in scrimmage. Kris Jenkins was really good for Nova. Made a bunch of 3's."

"Told that Baylor got better of Gonzaga in scrimmage today in Salt Lake, Sabonis best player on floor for Zags. Prince for Baylor."

Agreed about being too high. Wanted to open around 9-10.

Think Grayson may struggle to start the season being relied on and trying to jump into this role of being the man

Would have flip-flopped Kentucky and Maryland but that's all semantics at this point.

And I'll take top 5. It's a toss up between ourselves, UVA, ISU, and Oklahoma for that #5 spot and with our rep and being reigning champs, it makes sense to give Duke the nod.

Teams I'm excited to watch (outside of Duke and Uconn/AP top 5): Cal, Arizona, IU, LSU, and Purdue.
