The College Basketball Post

well you know...you can always get stronger and better at shooting. when the kid gets a consistent J, fools are in serious trouble.
Blake didn't have a mid-range game until 2 years ago. Amare found a mid-range stroke after years of just dunking on people.

I don't understand how people are questioning his shooting as an 18 year old. It can only get better.
yea exactly what im saying....getting stronger and a better j will come with time in the gym.

Which is scary when you think that his only real weaknesses are a Jumper and becoming a more consistent post defender. I've been leading this hype train for a while now. And I really shouldn't be. It's obvious to me.

It seems weird that a guy that's been the #1 player in his clas for 2+ years has so many people questioning his game .

He's not Canadian tho so you know how that goes

I have him #2 on my board and I said he can't shoot, which he can't.

Saying your the second best prospect is hating? really?

Only 2 guys I see challenging his draft position is Skal and Dragan Bender.  Some ppl are saying Malik Pope but i don't see it

.
who the hell did he need to guard on the block consistently in high school or 2 games into his college career.

so dumb for somebody to come up with.

not you of course. just the knock in general.

i dont see it was Skal...not being picked ahead of him. of course it depends on the teams need but. but other then that nah.

Skal is definitely a good prospect. I see it clear as day with him as well. He has all the tools to me.

I just think a player like Ben Simmons is too good of a prospect to pass up at #1. Think y'all are going to like a lot of the freshman in this class this year.

On another note, I don't think this Kentucky team is that overwhelming. Not sold on Malcolm Lee just yet.

Where does anyone say this UK team is overwhelming?

Bunch of freshman and non-starters from previous years. The front court is very inexperienced. LOL

(Not directed to Wavy specifically.) Sometimes(read most of the time) I think folks like to hype Cal's teams up just so they can say they underperformed or underachieved.

Dragan Bender is not the type of player NBA teams draft number 1. He's more of a complimentary type player not a future #1 option.

Porzingis went #4 and I've read reports that Bender is the better prospect than Porzingis was

I mean, you can argue that Kristaps would go #3 in a re-draft today. #4 isn't out the question.

Believe it or not, Kristaps actually shot up the board at draft time. Bender isn't the prospect that Kris is to me. But let's save this talk for the Draft thread. That's where this belongs.

Terps looking like complete gar-bahj in the first half against Rider. Very sloppy...

Reminds me of the dynamic of any slight criticism of Wiggins though coming up. It's all good

yeah, not really. Not even close.

The backlash against Wiggins was irrational, and crazy. Remember when Wayne Seldon was supposed to be better. Remember that? Fun times. You don't see me out here claiming Blakeney is better.

People were telling me I was wrong/biased/making scuses for him despite everything I said about him in HS basically being 100% correct. It was a mind bending time.

and again people are exaggerating what Im saying about Ben, he's great, every bit as good as advertised, he's going to tear apart college and go no worse than #2 overall.

Well, that was your problem for responding to the "Wiggins is Corey Brewer" posts. I'm referring to the constructive posts that I saw in this thread which were met with fierce defense

Either way my thing is there is nothing wrong with having constructive critiques, which you are doing IMO
