Does anybody do this ?

Because I'm scared my ++#* is going to get the red rings &nd i won't be able to take it back because of the violating of the warranty .

We're not supposed to talk about this sort of stuff

it will violate the warranty

but if you can find someone to mod it then you could find someone to fix the rrod

A guy I know knows how to open it up without them noticing .

But like ... is it worth it ?

Getting games for the price of DL Discs makes it worth it. There's ways to open the xbox. . . search youtube. I wouldn't do it cause I don't playenough, but if you play a lot then I guess it's worth it.

i see no point in it as you can't play the modded games online.
pics of od modded xbox's anyone?

its not really worth it to me cause like dude said u cant play them joints online

you could play games online. you have to download some type of firmware onto the dvd drive to play the games and they'll be online compatible as well. MSdoes bans once in a while so there is always a chance for a ban. they do bans in waves though. you won't get banned immediately.

i haven't tried it myself yet though bc i don't really play games at all.

I took a risk and modded my 360, yes it's a chance you can get banned from Xbox Live(the entire soul of the 360)

its VERY tricky, and from what it sounds like, you're not very familiar with it ..so I advise you not to do it.. It's still tricky for me and I'vemodded gaming systems for years..

They need to make chips so that they can be stealthed because the problem when you boot up the 360 it auto connects to LIVE if able, screwing you over. If theymade a chip to stealth the mods, then you could boot the system and the chip would completely deactivates as if it's not even on there to begin with. Thenwhen you wanna play copied games, you reboot (disconnect your internet connection first) and turn it on.

Don't try it if you're new to modding PERIOD.

no need to do any of that the games them selves are stealth patched..

With the latest firmware hacks, you can't banned, unless you don't update your box to the latest firmware. There is a device that you can attach toyour xbox's HDD, to avoid opening the case

Buy an Arcade and a used harddrive if you want a modded 360. Don't bother going online with it. So I say have 2, one you use regularly online and one youkeep modded offline. BTW, I don't condone this.

I been playing my modded xbox on live for the longest. As long as the games are stealth patched there should be no worries.
