What's the best virus scanner for Mac? I converted a YouTube video to an mp3 and after it was done I found this, Mal/phish-A. I ran a sophos scan and that's what came up. Any help would be great on how to take this out.

1st check if iTunes > Preferences > Sharing > Require Password selected? If so turn it off.

2nd Do a search with Spotlight for ".plist" (should be in your Itunes music folder within another folder labeled "Downloads.) In that list (should be very long) there should be a file named com.apple.itunes.plist. Delete that file by dragging it from the Spotlight list to the Trash. Don't worry if you drag the wrong file and delete it, as these are preference files that recreate themselves when you launch an application.
Thanks. I'm gonna try this and see if it works

i would assume any LED monitor would work, you just need to buy a converter which are relatively cheap [don't buy at the Apple store]

Question for anyone with a MBA and Netflix.
Do you guys find that your laptop gets very hot and very loud when streaming movies?

I'll be streaming a movie and my fan speed can reach up to 4500-5000 RPM.

I just ordered 2 x 4 gb CORSAIR DDR3 1333mhz PC3-10666 laptop memory kit. I have been wanting to upgrade my RAM for a minute now and saw the price on amazon (~45 bucks) and couldn't say no. I also ordered the black KUZY case and a keyboard cover.

Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with this RAM upgrade? I know corsair is a good company, and should make my unibody i7 15" mbp just absolutely fly. But i also read some poor reviews. And any experiences with the KUZY cases? Does the apple shine through? I also thought i saw a spot for the battery charge button on the side but wasn't sure. Any info/experiences would be appreciated.

So a lifelong PC user and currently working in the IT field with all windows systems, the moment has come where I might actually pull the trigger on a macbook. I am getting heavy into photography use and that is mostly what is motivating this purchase. I currently have my eye on the 15'' MBP i7 2.2 ghz. Is it worth the switchover? Someone convince me yay or nay as if I am going to buy, it will be immediately after work today

NT Fam i need some advice, my friend is selling a pretty new Macbook Pro for a very good price but im not sure weather i can justify spending quite an amout of money when i have a perfectly good comp here. I really want one, is it really amazingly better than a PC?

THANKS

Based on my 2 days of experiece with a mac as a life long PC user, I'd say I am rather pleased with the Mac so far. It's def a new learning experience but that is a good thing in my book. Plus I have a strong urge to go to Starbucks now and %@%%# their wifi.

its worth every penny bro.  NO LIE

just compare it like the apple ipod with other mp3 players.   or ipad with other tablets.   apple blows the competition away.   there is a reason why so many people buy apple products
