Are you sure you bought the correct type of RAM for the model that you have?
You should read this for better understanding: http://guides.macrumors.com/Buying_RAM
I asked this people in this thread if this ram was the correct one to buy. http://www.amazon.com/gp/...f=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
They said yes, but it didn't work.
After reading through that wiki, I see what the problem was.
The ram I bought was 1333mhz but my mac only supports 1067mhz.
Does anyone have any recommendations for 1067mhz ram?
Also does it matter if I get buffered or unbuffered ram?
i assume u have the 2010 model which doesnt support 1333 ram but you can mix and match 1066 and 1333 together and it will work since the logic board will downclock both to 1066
in theory, any 1333 ram should work but for some reason apple doesnt want to program their efi
get unbuffered since cheaper
buffered ram is mainly for servers and way more expensive
for good normal ram, crucial is the best
