anyone having trouble with boot up times? i have a mid 2010 model and just recently its been taking 2+ minutes for my mac to boot up. Before that it would just boot up instantly.

anyone have any advice? its getting really annoying...

anyone have mountain lion? is it worth copping

It's only $19.99 for a operating system upgrade...so I would say yes it is worth it...my fave feature so far is the messages from my macbook pro...that alone was worth the $19.99 to me...

Yea mime does the same, but apparently mine is because bestbuy's insurance installed the wrong hard drive into it :smh:

Just got a MBP retina.  Can someone point me in the direction for themes/icons, and how to do them.?

How much RAM do you have in it? Is it maxed out? Increasing that might help you...

Have a MacBook Pro... Just bought an Apple TV.... Problem is, when I am using the remote for the apple TV it is controlling my MacBook when they are in the same room...How do I get it to stop controlling the MacBook??? Loving Apple TV and I would jailbreak it but my cousin gave me all his Hulu, Netflix, NBA league pass info
System preferences on the MacBook Pro > Security/Privacy Pref (on the 1st row, 3nd to last icon from the right).  It's under the General tab of Security/Privacy, if you're on Mountain Lion it's under the "Advanced" section.. Just uncheck the infrared remote box..

Mountain Lion is ok, I really don't notice a speed increase with it.  Does seem like bootup time is a little longer.  The built in notifications are a nice feature, all in all it's an ok upgrade.. If you're upgrading from Lion it's not an upgrade that you have to have... Usually the first release of an Apple OS upgrade is considered beta testing anyway.. they'll start rolling out software updates to fix all the quirks and bugs...

i like mountain lion. faster with installing updates without interrupting my experience. also holds place very well when i close and reopen apps and safari looks incredible, not to mention open tabs on my phone and imac browser sync up. its nice i think

FB integration eh? Where do you see that at?

Was wondering the same thing  .Updated mines and I have no FB integration yet....heard that's not until the fall. Anyways...can somebody recommend a good HD? My WD HD just stopped working outta nowhere and now has this weird beeping sound when I plug it in. Thing was 1TB :x and had so many shows/movies/music on it.

If you have candybar and love your icons... Don't upgrade to mountain lion yet.

Update Candybar...should work with the new update

What about Dock library though? Can't seem to change my dock

I had the latest candybar update. It wasn't working.

Have they released an update over the past couple days?

I just updated Candybar yesterday. Everything works just fine now. You just gotta change all the icons again but it works with the update.

Battery life took a huge hit upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion. Absolutely ridiculous hit. Running on a late 2011 MBP.

Used to get 6 or 7 hours with half full brightness and now I'm lucky to see 3.

Trying to scout as many methods as I can to downgrade back to Lion but of course I had to be the genius to never save a time machine backup of Lion >::smh:|I
