and there's no arguing it either. that track is a %+$##@@ beast STILL. such a simple beat but Wayne killed it as well as most people who hopped on fortheir "freestyles" on A Milli...

the A Milli vocal sample is so damn catchy that anybody can recognize it instantly and it still gets people crazy in concerts and at clubs...

Opinions? and please. I am not a Lil Wayne stan. don't even really like the guy. so haters please stay out of this thread.
 
Agreed. It wasn't my favorite, but it was indeed the most popular.

That beat made that track what it is. Wayne is spitting nonsense. Fab, Jay and Los killed him on his own %!@#.

Hottest beat of 08? Now that sounds more appropriate.
 
I gotta agree with the person who said "Put On." Personally, this was my favorite track of the year. And, I heard A LOT of people bumpin this aroundthe city.
 
yea it played everywhere and whenever I go to this one spot where my white friends kick it and they spitting line after line of a rap song 4 months after itsbeen hot I know that rap song was "that" song as terms as hot mainstream song of the year, your lying if you say no, last year was that Jim Jonesjoint

"Put On" might be a better track, but in no way shape or form was it "hotter"...

Carter 3 = Most popular (sales wise) hip hop album this year

A Millie = Most popular single from the most popular album (yes, over Lolipop)

yupp mainstream song of the year thats 4 sure ^^^^.. Lil wayne is dope but i thought 3 peat was better than a milli .. a milli reminds me of all the lames whojust barely figured out who lil wayne was this year
