Thank you sir. This pretty much sums up my feelings. I ain't the biggest 40 fan, but his catalogue deserves respect.

No, not at all. The most annoying %%+@ about Bay heads is this:

They all ask me "why do you like New York music so much? You're not from New York, you're from the Bay. Stop hatin' on Bay music."

That's why I say that the majority of Bay music heads (well atleast the ones I know) are straight-up idiots. I have an open-ear for music. If it's good, I like it. It it sucks, I strongly dislike it. I don't take into consideration where the artist is from. And that's what irritates the **!* outta me with Bay heads. They have an obligation to claim that Bay music is the best just because they live there. What the **!* kind of logic is that? They fail to understand the simple concept of my idea that "I like what sounds good, I don't give a **!* where the music is from. It just so happens that the majority of good artists are from New York, and it just so happens that 99% of Bay artists are trash." That seems to be an outlandish form of logic to them.

And that is why I say that I can't have a legit rap convo with Bay folks. Most of them think the same, and most of them are stuck in the same box.

I just think he as well as some other artists have moved away from what made them great in some people's eyes to try to look better to the teen pop/rapthing that is going on now.

This also happens over here in the East and of course in theSouth...dudes thinking that just because it came from THEIR section/region/area it just has to be the best music out right now. It's more like open-minded vs. close-minded. It's w/e to me if you think the music in your region is the best...everyone has their owntaste. But it's like...they REFUSE to be put on to any other music. They don't want to hear anything else, yet they're claiming up and down thattheir region has the best music, bar none, and there's nothing you can tell them otherwise. I'm not critiquing or isolating a single coast or regionwhen it comes to this...this is widespread. Son this argument applies to every single region; matter of fact, NY is the worst culprit. Every single dude I've met from NY claims theirrap is superior to all other regions, and the majority of it is trash. TRASH. NY got the most hyped rappers on the planet, simply because their fans hypethem up like it's no tomorrow. We got Joe Buddens, Jadakiss, Fab, Joel Ortiz, Juelz Santana, Papoose, I can go on and on. These dudes all stink, andnever get any play outside of NY. They can't even be called overrated because no one rates them.

How do you know they haven't listened to anything else. Not everybody likes the same stuff you like. Some people might crown E-40 theirfavorite rapper and say he's the best. Even though you and I may not agree it's still their opinion, let them live.

If you like E-40 and you think dude is the best rapper ever, I'm goingto disagree with you but it's your opinion and I have no problem with that. Music is subjective, everyone hasdifferent preferences. But don't sit there and try to discuss music when you only sticking to one thing and you REFUSE to hear what other regions and artists have to offer and THEN you go on to criticizeit, like you're informed or something. That's just being ignorant, IMO. You don't have to like everything...but at least give it a (fair) listenbefore you're going to call it garbage or not your taste.

The people I'm talking about (and that's what I applied the situation to, like my lil' _ that I talked about) are the dudes who ride and die withtheir coast and are loyal to a fault.
