How did Tupac get away with a nose ring?

When you are great at your craft, people accept your lifestyle. Any other mid level rapper might not have gotten away with it.

I never even know he had one...

pac was more real then ya favorite NYC rappers

these NYC rappers lie/con there way to the top
lulz.

I wonder if all the posts you have on NT, have had stonefaces in them?

I love the nose ring lol..I used to think that the fact that the ring was supposed to be a "no no" considering his persona was dope..like "Idon't care what anyone says."

You can be respected, or people will at least let you slide, when you're a master at what you do.

People try to diss Dennis Rodman now, but when he was winning back to back Defensive Player of the Year awards, everyone was on his tool.

Like many young black males, 2pac experimented with men. It is a normal part of growing up, nothing wrong with that

lol

that was the style back then a knuckle head dude with a nose ring was not sweet that was street

i am sure only a small number of posters here ever saw 2 pac up close

I was with some smoking buddies back in 1994 at the high of 2pacs fame before going to jail on the rape charge

We saw 2 guys in a horse and carriage with 2 chicks drnking out white plastic cups.

In the middle of the carriage was a 40% of st.ides right in the middle of Manhattan and when I look up I see pack his boy and 2 +@++ getting drunk out in theopen.

You would never see anything like that again with any rapper.

2 PAC

Been wondering this for years. I dont care if it was Pac or not, it was straight SUS...

Please don't compare Pac and Ghostface, there is no comparsion. Pac is the GOAT do not disgrace him. He's better than the whole "Wu" combinedtimes a billie and some.

How does Weezy get away with kissing men, having a tat of a man on his chest, callin a dude daddy, and a even suspecter lip ring?

Because he claimed blood after he had a hot song and now they promote this "IM THE GREATEST RAPPER EVER" BS.

He's good, just way too overrated.

I'm still confused about this how is he still respected? I mean if wayne is gay it would be ok i guess but dude talks down to gays so whats going on here?

you say
these NYC rappers are running a big con
but then you say
guess cause dudes dont know how the game works

...i don't know, seems to me that they know how the game works...

and what does who he is better than have to do with having a nose ring? people upset because their hero might be gay. who cares, get over it.

Don't get me wrong.

Big wasn't as poor as he claimed. Mobb Deep got together after Havoc decided not to rob Prodigy and weren't even named that when they began rapping.'Kiss went to community college. Method Man worked @ the Statue of Liberty.

Note that I said marketing goes a long way. I didn't specify anyone on any coast. Dre had that gay $*@ outfit on. Tigga has a pic of his younger self doinga real gay pose.

I don't buy into the Pac thug image because it's all imagery in the music industry, from someone who's had experience. Sure he did positive stufffor the community and stood up for brothas etc. But its the truth. That's how the beef with Mobb Deep got started because they said "thug life, westill living it." and Pac took offense since he swore it off after one of his prison sentences.....

Its common that cats are 'month in the industry. But raise the fact that someone's favorite rapper did something attributed to gay males and its WW 3.I f with Big heavy and I admit he said mad gay %*#.

exactly. It's all about marketing, so who knows what to believe. IMO, Pac wasn't as thug as we would like to think, he was just marketed that way. That's probably why he had a nose ring in the first place.
