Capsule also said they would be getting oreo racers any time now.
Already have a pair but might consider doubles but I'll see. Funny how everyone is trying to resell them here since they were more limited than the US. There were tons of restocks there and they're just sitting on shelves in some FTL's and HOH's.
I'm not... this is like the 2nd/3rd time they've restocked on NDC alone. Nike honestly produced a ton of these. Only a few releases I have my eye on this year... prob frags, maroons and maybe the 11s but that's it. Don't care for aquas as I already have a DS pair from the first retro.
Has anyone been to the ES recently? Just wondering how much the mambacurials were there. I doubt they have any left but just wondering what the price was.
- there has never been a wide release of these oreo 2.0 in Canada
- not that many people have a US shipping address so they can't order from NDC
- CAD is so ****
Really surprised that most people don't bother with US PO box -- have friends that bother me all the time to ship stuff to 'my box' when they can set up a box for free and just pay a few bucks for the package and get it themselves whenever they want.
Even without a car -- it's not impossible to rent a car or just take a bus to Niagara and rent a car there. It may seem like a lot of work - but people have no issue standing in line for hours when it's only ~3 hrs drive roundtrip. Even with the crappy CAD/USD exchange - it's about on-par when you factor in Canadian taxes you would 100% pay locally -- also, you can typically find much more stock online and better prices.
The only time I've heard a 'legit' reason to not set up on US box is because they can't cross the border with their criminal record.
Sort of - I've had NDC ship stuff to CBI before. It didn't take the address initially - but I removed the '#' from the address and it shipped no problem. So it was "123 Main St PMB 12345" rather than "123 Main St PMB #12345"
Agree that it may seem like a lot of work -- but it seems like most folks have no issue driving to Niagara to hit up Canadian outlets anyways - what's another 30 minutes to drive to the US side?
CBI charges $6 USD per package for unlimited storage time - pretty fair IMO.
And honestly, I declare *full value* everytime I cross back (not worth it IMO to get 'listed' and searched everytime to come back and forth) -- I usually go with my girl and we've declare up to $300 - $400 worth of stuff before -- been waved pass everytime. Obviously, your experience may vary. They gets tons of Canadians picking up stuff all the time from PO boxes -- I don't think they really care as long as you're not trying to bring back something illegal or something really high value.
Last time I crossed back with a couple of pairs, the border guard said, "Oh... just a couple pair of Nikes? Welcome home" (waves me pass).
And -- as I mentioned before, even with the crappy exchange -- US MSRP is usually the same as CAD MSRP *before HST*... buying in Canada, you're have to pay an extra 13% tax and is unavoidable vs. a (pretty low) chance of paying taxes + duties at the border.
I received Nike ID's to CBI USA with no issues, it took their address. I also have a pair of other kicks from NDC waiting for me. I hear what people are saying about the exchange rate, but realistically it's not going to cost much more than if you buy it here. Worst case scenario you pay the tax at the border. Had 110 worth of stuff, and paid 13 dollars at the border. It took two seconds to get through.
A lot of places ship to Canada and include the fees shipped to your door. Have Air Tech Challenge III's on the way from East Bay. They worked out to 143 USD shipped including duties/etc. That's like $185, which is prob close to what I'd pay here for them. I'm a size 14, so all of these options from getting shoes from the states are absolutely necessary for me.
