Official Toronto - Outlet and Store report

I'm in the same boat as a lot of the recent posters. I'm in my mid 30's and lately I've been selling a lot of the impulse buys from the past few years. I know the question has been asked before, but how do most of you guys sell your shoes? I find Kijiji to be extremely frustrating as a great percentage of people who respond to my ads lack basic reading comprehension. Ebay has their ridiculous fees and you have to worry about scammers filing chargeback after you send your shoes. I know some people have had luck using facebook but I am not on it because of my job.

I wonder if a buy/sell thread could be created specifically for Canadians. Even if you made deals with guys from other provinces, you wouldn't have to worry about custom fees which are out of control.
Kijiji works for me so far most of my listings sell.  I'm not bothered by stupid questions because I just ignore them

Is there a place you can consign shoes in Toronto? There's a boutique here in Halifax where I've been selling a fair amount of stuff and it's pretty hassle free. I just drop the shoes off, set a price, and they call me when they sell. I find people are willing to pay a lot more when it's sitting in a store than on kijiji.
livestock and adrift on spadina both have 80/20 consignment walls. if you have heat, they'll sell it.

I'm interested in taking some shoes off your hands, if:

-shoes are 9 - 9.5
-Deadstock
-price is at retail or less

Speaking as an older NTer -meaning I worked at Footlocker back in 1992 to 1996 - the Internet and online selling was the first step in removing the magic for me personally - and then more recently - there are more people interested in making money selling shoes than there are people who truly love the shoes - way more.

i think the internet and online selling is great for people in Canada. we don't get A LOT of stuff and those 2 things make it a lot easier

I get this - I meant that it was awesome to go into a store and see shoes you had no idea were even released - or reading product knowledge catalogues or scanning upcoming release lists - see shoes for the first time in hand - this is what I meant by "magic".

I remember this feeling of walking into goodfoot and seeing all the newest SBs. It took a while to get downtown, but always tried to make a stop there if I did go dt.

Has anyone seen the Air Force 1 Lady Liberty/Statute Of Liberty in the GTA recently? I was in Montreal last week saw them in person for the first time and really liked them. They didn't have my size. Any leads?

Thanks in advance.

Exlcucity Toronto had them at their store opening the past Saturday. Not sure about now though. Give them a call tomorrow.

That is actually where I saw them in Montreal. They called the other Montreal stores but didn't have my size. Thanks for the heads up I will try them.

I second this; as a teenager in the early 1990s, the magic was real, working at Champs, attending Nike PK sessions, etc. seeing stuff firsthand before the average consumer, etc.

They were high, memorable times. Who doesn't recall getting amped to see the Easbay catalogue in hardcopy & feasting on it along w/the earliest SLAM "KIcks' magazines?

Now the internet has somewhat diluted it, getting older has put me onto real bills & costs, the disposable income is not keeping up with the preposterous cost of some cherished retroes

I surmise that is the way of fading shoeheads, you move onto other hobbies or dial it back some.

DAMN!!!!! Those were the days...Even if you never copped anything, you needed that catalogue. That catalogue and the J.Crew catalogue used to get passed around my highschool until people found out all you had to do was call and request one.

Real Life > Sneaker Game although now my 10 year old is asking for kicks #passedherthetorch

Was at Nike in Vaughan Mills today. They have 25% off clearance shoes and clothing on the clearance rack.

I picked up a pair of Air Max 1 picnic, I didn't see if they had any more of them. With the discount and $5 survey coupon, they were $71 with tax. Pretty happy, although my wife almost destroyed me for buying another pair of shoes.

There doesn't appear to be much in terms of new shoes on the regular shelves from the last time someone posted. Nothing new in the sportswear section for weeks now. Saw some air vomero 9s and air zoom structure 18s. seemed to have a lot of sizes for those if you're looking for runners.
