saw some snow outside today and decided to get some boots for the winter. Haven't worn boots since elementary school and im running out of sneakers to beat

What boots do you guys recommend?
If your looking for something to wear to the office, I just recently bought blundstone boots and they're pretty comfortable after the initial break in.

Anyone aware if Halton has any additional discount off hash wall this wkend?
20% off hash wall.  VM started theirs a day early.  I was at Halton last night with no discount off hash wall.  Had the manager call VM and they matched the discount.  It was 30% off clearance apparel as well at both places.  Don't know about this weekend though.

i've always been curious about those. they look really nice and comfy
They're very light and the materials feel good. Traction on snow/ice is good as well. The one thing I don't personally like about Red Wings and Timbs are the heft. If I feel the need to wear boots, it's because I'm going to be doing a fair amount of walking, and I want to be as comfy as possible if that's the case.

Yeah that's actually a great point. I recently grabbed the footscape route from the outlets (like back in July) for $40 and is in the process

of blacking them out for winter. They're definitely warm and comfy but are only water resistant.

Are the ransoms waterproof?

I highly recommend Air Max 90 sneakerboots, very comfortable to wear, durable and not bulky like a Timberland or Red Wing boot. I got these when they first dropped and have been wearing them for the past 2-3 winters, still looks like new. They are fairly waterproof, not too warm even though it has a liner (I usually wear them with thicker socks) but the soles have great traction.

Are wet weather boots warm enough for winter? Going to be wearing these strictly for winter season
I have Sorels as proper winter boots and I really don't like them. Try to avoid wearing them on all but the snowiest days. Ditto lots of the UGG mens boots, all that wool and liner just makes them too warm for wearing all day. I have some Nike Chukka Sneakerboots for casual and some Grensons with a commando sole for work/smarter.

I found Wolverine 1000 Miles on ridiculous discount at the Bay, only problem is they have leather soles. Found out the hard way that that doesn't fly in Canada when I broke my ankle hurdling a snowbank

Grensons worth it? I wanna grab the duck boot so beautiful.
I'm a big fan. Have some Stanley brogues. I think they're a little on the pricey side in Canada. So gotta look out for good sales. I remember Uncle Otis put some on really deep discount around Jan last year. The boots I got from a shop in England in June on sale, were only 110 pounds so can't beat them on that price.

True. I'm scared of the fit though. I went a half size down because the last CS1s I bought had super stretched ankles. Turns out it was just because I have skinny ankles. This shoe is basically going to be the deciding factor in whether the CS1s are for me or not... I have too many shoes I need to sell now, haha. I guess I can sell them all for retail so I don't 'lose' money. But I put so much time and effort into buying all these kicks. From my laptop. At work. Sitting...
Chances are they won't fit.  Unlike regular CS1's, these come with an insole and there is a lining on the inside of the uppers.  I suppose you could try wearing them without the insoles as they are removable.  These are stiff and rigid unlike regular PK city socks.  I didn't like the way the upper bulges out on the top of your foot as the lining kinda dictates the shape.  These aren't really stretchy.

I've never used them for extended periods of time through water or puddles, but I've used them every time there's a snow storm, and my feet never get wet unless the snow comes into the boot through the top.

Any chance NT know of a pair of Banned 1s 5y or 5.5y for trades? Sitting on an extra reverse sbb in 5y.

FWIW Winners has the gold reflective screen print We The North Mitchell & Ness hoodies for $39.99 and tees for $24.99.

Navy blue
I got mine at an army surplus store(Beaver army surplus) a block from Yorkdale mall, they sell it for slightly cheaper than other stores. Also, they have more styles and colors compared to other stores(the owner told me they've been dealing with Alpha for over 10 years). You can get them at Solestop and Urban outfitters as previously mentioned. As well as, Nordstrom for just the burgundy and Tnt.
