Official Toronto - Outlet and Store report

It's true about the hypebeast kids in here and the shift toward boost/yeezy. I'm 27 so I was a kid but just at the right age when MJ and Penny were thriving in the mid 90s. A lot of kids who post in here weren't even born at that time...I can also remember buying the zoom generations when they first released and the hype surrounding Lebron as a highschool kid. Now they are "retroing" that shoe lmao. Penny was a phenomenon and arguably my favourite player (obviously other than Jordan) at that era. Wanted the foams as a kid but they were so damn pricey.

Do you remember when the Air Zoom Generation first dropped?  Pepperidge Farm remembers.

One day we will be on this board and recalling the madness of the initial NMD R1 PK OG drop when the adidas re-releases them...oh wait that happened already within 1 year.  Damn, every shoe company is milking consumers bad.

Lol I remember you could cop the AZG on the low at outlets in the States back then. Crazy how they're making them limited now.

It wasn't even that long ago around in 2007 when I would hit up the Birch Run outlet with my parents and you could find some gems there.

Feel like the Foam craze was at its peak in 2007-2010/2012ish. Wanted the Retro Blue that released along with the Electric Lime & was so hard copping it. Now you can get the Royals probably on discount. The times have changed but still a Nike lifer lol. Will never cop adidas.

I used think like you bout being a nike lifer until a chance encounter with a pair of Pureboosts...it was literally nirvana.

you telling me you were following basketball when you were 4-5 yr old since you were born in 1990? really?

At Eaze is having a closing sale at STC 20 to 70% off.
Did you see this in-store? I can't find anything on their social media.

How is it that they can't manage to keep their business afloat? This wouldn't be their first location that is closing/closed down.  And STC is supposed to be one of their prime locations too.

It's in store. They've been closing since last week. There's a bigger deal now because most sizes are already OOS, but seems like there's still a lot of stuff there in terms of clothing.

I was. Are you offended or something that I said kids these days don't even know about half the players from those days? I was watching the Raptors from 5 years old when the team first started. 6-7/8 watching and following Penny/Jordan. Thanks for chiming in but it's possible for a kid to watch basketball just like how kids watch cartoons.

Theres some Ultra Boost and NMDs re-stock on Adidas Canada. Woke up too late and missed out on the OG City Socks apparently.

Yea I happened to walk by yesterday. Last size shoes seemed to be the best deals. I wanted some Jason Markk solution but they wouldn't discount those (probably keeping for themselves or returning to the supplier). Saw some great Adidas EQT clothing for 50% off.

Sad to see them go as their discounted prices were always great even before they switched to a smaller store. I think that higher end 2nd store weren't doing well and killed them.

I wonder if their Pickering Town Centre store is still around.

no not at all I am actually older, in my mid 30s. I am just amazed on how u follow basketball when u were that young and remember vividly on how these players played the game.

I feel you. I'm a barber and when discussing things with a few younger clients, they mentioned that they didn't even remember the "Vince Carter era" of Raptors basketball at all and they're like 23. I found that pretty shocking but I guess a lot won't follow basketball to that level when that young so I know what you mean.

VC era...sick. While raptors now undoubtedly have more depth & consistency those who watched VC play whether TV or live know he was more exciting than any player on TO's roster now. Never know if an opponent was gonna be destroyed with a dunk or a jumpshot (ok mostly dunks). This was the dead period in NBA without Jordan & kobe wasn't "kobe 5-rings after", not to mention lebron was still in junior high. Crown was for anyone's taking and TO had VC.

Man, carter's rookie cards were going for crazy prices back then, more than kobes. The shox bb4 was probably more popular than jordans at the time, partly or mainly because of carter.

I remember taking my students to Raptors games in '99-''03 - yes I'm that old - Sprite Zone!!

I also loved playing in the VC 1 and 2 - I also had the PE VC 3 which was a local release.

400

All the feels/memories lol. I genuinely feel bad for those too young to remember those VC vs AI battles in the playoffs. Also the crazy series' we always had against the Knicks. Latrell Sprewell and Allan Houston eating our food lol.

Man i had/still have a big *** VC poster on the door of my room at my mom crib.

2000 was a crazy yr. I was 10yrs old and seeing him show out at the dunk contest then ruin that 7foot frenchmans career/life was straight up amazing

If you watch the highlight of him dunking on the 7footer youll see thats when KG absolutely lost his got damn mind.
