Official Toronto - Outlet and Store report

I've had somewhat good experiences with Kijiji, just got to filter out the dumb questions, low ball offers, and request for 67356 more pics. Once a price and meetup time is confirmed all my dealings have gone through. I can usually sniff out serious folks or trolls, plus my stern attitude pushes away a lot of folks too so that filters people too. *Only recently back in December did a guy want to do a meetup (at Fairview) and it turned into a bad experience and waste of time...almost knocked this clown out.

*Avoid an old man named Mike Hua (416-564 number) who works at the Audi dealership by Fairview, complete joke. :smh:

My Kijiji experiences have been good too. Also have to weed out flakes but once they commit it goes smoothly 99% of the time. Just scored a Tech Knit Hoodie with tags for $130 from a seller - tags on. Retailer for $305!

I was selling to him on Facebook. The kijiji buyers I've had have been much better recently to be honest. None of the confirmed guys have flaked. I have been flaked on over Facebook more than anywhere else recently. I'm just laughing at the fact that I can't sell a pair of Ultra Boosts for like $300. Especially one that is 270 after tax and only available in the US for the time being.
haha well it sounds like FB isn't much better then. Hopefully you get those things sold soon.

What the hell is it with these Fairview guys? I'm about to just start turning down anyone that mentions Fairview lol. When I first used Kijiji it was fine, had zero issues. I've bought everything from video games to motorcycles to cars from Kijiji but ever since I got into this shoe thing, the people you have to deal with sometimes just blow your mind. Although I think my absolute worst experience on Kijiji was for an iPad.

Anyone know how to fix the error 403 I keep getting when I try going on footlocker.ca? It says "access to footlocker.ca was denied"

Haha, well I'd say Fairview is the best place for people from Markham to meet people who live relatively near the TTC. I've done a lot of deals there because of people from Markham.

Don't know man, mind you that recent experience was my only bad meeting at FM. I should've known things would turn sour when the flaker didn't know where the Sears was and expected me to wait for him to finish eating in the food court to meetup.

On the other end, one of my best meetups happened last Sunday. Dude randomly emailed me at noon asking to meetup right away at Eaton Centre, I didn't want to do it at first because I didn't want to miss Packers/Cowboys but said eff it why not. Things got sketchy when I asked for a contact number and he said he had phone....like, what?. At that point I cancelled the meetup, seemed like a troll and I don't know how he was expecting to meetup with no phone. Also you're paying a couple hundred for an item that probably should go towards buying a phone. Anyways, dude kept pleading to meetup and said he would use his moms phone (gave me that number).

It was risky but after speaking with a few folks they suggested to do it. I went ahead and decided to do it and when this guy arrived things looked even more sketchy . This guy was a light-skinned Chief Keef ....low dreads covering his face/eyes, blood tatts all over his neck, gold grill, I was like HELL NAH. When I asked for the cash he just flashed it and put it back in his coat, I told him to hand me the cash the hell am I going to do run? especially in the area we met with police all around. He handed the cash I passed the product and all was cool.

Even went to Uniqlo with him so he can get a bad to carry the stuff (I don't know whats up with buyers doing meetups and expecting the seller to provide bags :smh: )

Hahah yeah I don't blame you for being sketched out about that. You hear the dumbest stories sometimes, guys getting shot over Jordans, best not to take any chances but I'm glad it worked out for you. I haven't sold anything on Kijiji recently, trying to keep that to a minimum. And about the guy that made you wait while he ate, that's ****** up

. I also won't do any more meetups without a phone number. One time I waited an hour and a half for someone who told me email is the best way to reach him. Didn't even show up, I ended up going home and the idiot finally emails me apologizing and asked me to meet him again a few hours later. Even after that he still wasn't willing to give me a phone number, stuck to "email is best". I wasn't going to do it but then he said he'd drop $20 off the price for the gas so I ended up going. Never again though.

Yeah it makes sense.

Nah I waited like 5 mins, then thought to myself this is nonsense. Told him __k his food and meet now, he was the one who arranged all this so he should've planned his personal time around that.

Kijiji is my go to. But last few interactions have been really bad.

I also go with the stern approach of take or leave it mentality. Made a deal with some guy and said fine ill give you the price you want but you gotta come to me. Proceeds to asks for additional pics and i provide them. Then says he'll think about it.

Next morning asks me to go meet him where he wants. I tell him no, we already agreed to price and place, then wants to reduce his offer. At this point, I tell him i dont want to do the deal with im anymore.

Im also getting a lot of "are these available" and after i respond yes, never hear from them again.

Facebook - gotta deal with "can i have more pics" , shoes are DS

I already take lots of detailed pics to start off with.

Yeah I used to get that a lot too but fortunately the ones that asked for more pictures were always genuinely interested so that worked out well. I did experience a LOT of people that disappear after you tell them it's available or after you accept their offer lol. I feel like some people just send offers for fun.

Anyone have experience using cross border shipping services?
I have looked at the UPS Store - but I don't want to rent for 6 months.
Any help is appreciated!

I use kijiji a lot to either buy and sell. Lowballers I just ignore. I find some don't take the effort to meet half way. I don't mind traveling but I'm not coming to your front door. I always meet up in malls or coffee shops, the bigger the crowd, the better. If the buyer or seller refuses, deals off. I was heavy on redflagdeals but buyers on there just lowball you.

anyone know any spot with the adidas ultra boost 3.0 whites still?

Surprisingly, I've gotten all my pairs of ultraboost from Sportchek. Check their stock online and call ahead to reserve a pair. Get the person's name if it goes sideways

I've always come to expect the worst as a seller on kijiji. Whether it be for kicks or for Raps tickets I sell there, its a lot of the same people have already mentioned here. The hope is finding someone to be able to do repeat business with. That's gold

I had a few people who I sold shoes to that told me if I get anything in their sizes again that I should contact them. People like that are awesome to deal with. Unfortunately I don't sell shoes often so I can't really help them out with that but hopefully if I do get anything in their size again that I need to sell they'll be interested.

If I have a good buying experience, I will generally try to ask them to contact me as well if they sell anything else I want.
