No no no, selling lower carat gold stamped as 14k 18k, selling cloudy stones as vs+/e quality and price, quoting one price for item in gold weight then making it significantly lighter, high balling people who dont know better, buying stolen gold and melting it down, blood diamonds, money laundering, etc etc the games ruthless like all business involving big money, behind the nice bright white clean front, some dark dirty shady stuff be going on in the chain...

You guys have to realize that this is the social media generation...and they way these jewelers beef with one another...trust me if a jeweler was selling fake whatever they would be exposed. If you are known to sell fake jewelry it could end your career most wont roll that dice.
You guys give jewelers too much cred, i know for a fact that guys go into jewelers and ask for FAKE stones and good gold plating. Im not defending the jewelers but yall not giving props to these fraud dudes in these streets.

I think both y'all are talking about 2 different Johnny's. Johnny dang and king Johnny. Let me tell you this now KJ is a very shady environment if your weak. My boy had a
Peice that turned out to be like 8k(which isn't legally gold) supposed to be 10k.....with i instead of vs stones.....shady.....but this was back in 07.....but you have to understand you come up with there with pennies they are going to give you garbage and sell you a dream. I think most places pay there stone setters by the stone he pays them minimum wage by the hr. So I think that plays a role in how much cheaper they are.

Yeah no shots at anybody, i aint calling no one out, the statement was intended at the industry as a whole collective, and the pit falls involved, theres is good and bad people to every business, industry, the best way to stay safe, is know what your stepping into, educate yourself on the ins and out and last but not least know who your going to market with.

I saved and traded up for most of my purchases,but I haven't brought anything in awhile. After all those years I graduated from i clarity to real vs, but it took a lot of education and bad decisions. This jewelry game ain't for everyone, get educated about street pricing and deals before you enter the game.
