**..:The Official Jewelry Thread Vol. 11: You get a Jesus piece! You get a Jesus piece! Everybody gets a Jesus piece:..**

But from here on I'll prefer to walk in & Picc my **** up straight from a store/shop..guess I'm paying for the ignorance of not being familiar with the online process of buying things..I'm ole fashion lol but I think icebox is the closest to me so I'll prob checc him out..but lately on here goldensun has been the most impressive IMHO but I'm way far from Michigan lol so we'll see

I feel ya on the buying jewelry online. Dealing with certain amounts of money I think there needs to be a contract especially on custom jobs.

As far as shipping I think for some thing of this value it needs to ALWAYS be overnighted with insurance to equal to the value incase of damage or total loss. I just had an issue with a jeweler shipping a certain item. Although he's not responsible for the courier it was a disaster experience. 2-3 day mail turned into 2 week mail. Arrived eventually but by then he refunded me in full and my need for the item was no longer there. Waste of time for the both of us.

Just make sure you keep copies of all your emails if any issue would occur and you should be ok.

Yeah but chill!!! Unless you had an agreement then you just need to be patient I think 2 weeks is suitable if no time was agreed

Good things come to those that wait. |I chill, it hasn't even been a week.

Lol Fellas I'm good I just asked the question as a general inquiry..I like Rob..Real Solid dude always been fair & reasonable & I'll ALWAYS vouch for his quality & expertise ESPECIALLY when it comes to Rolexes! It's wasn't a big purchase so I didn't expect priority anyways..it was just that in comparison to another purchase I made I was expecting the same treatment but no big deal fellas I'm chilling lol I mean what else can I do? But I do think in the future I would "prefer"(key word lol) a walk in purchase BUT I'm not opposed to the online thing depending on the merchandise..I just enjoy the feeling of walking in, browsing, purchasing, insuring & walking out with the product is all I'm saying..but moving on....

I think he may just be a little backed up and busy. I've been trying to pick up a slightly customized cherub from him but he hasn't gotten back to me after a few text back and forth. I'm sure eventually we'll get it done though.
Do you guys usually ask for a detailed invoice when dealing with jewelry purchases online? It seems necessary to me just because of the nature of the product.

I know what you mean about the walk in experience Dubb. Sometimes I'm willing to pay a slight premium on goods just so I don't have to deal with any possible issues that may arise.

On another note, if anyone knows any mens jewelry spots in Chicago with a nice selection please lmk. I don't know if I'm just looking in the wrong places but most stores I've checked out have very little or just some wack pieces.

Thanks
