I learned about this watch around the same time jacob time pieces became popular. My friends and I went to NY on a school trip back in 04 and we hit up china town for jacob watches and gucci buckets. one of the shops we hit up had these alain silberstien watches so I picked on up for about $50. It lasted about  4 years. Ive seen the real ones in person, it's such a simple time piece. maybe 30mm face but the face is actually deep. Small simple band. Very underrated watch, not sure why these rappers haven't picked up on them. This seems like more of the italian race car driver or old rich art collectors watch.

I sometimes feel this way too. I've had my eyes set on this one, even tried it on at the dealer, but it's hard for me to justify spending this kind of money on a watch. (Over $10K and getting damn close to $15K)

yup.... I would say Jacob is an iconic time piece just bc of it's involvement in hip hop and what the piece meant back in the early 00's. other than that, the piece holds no value, rather than a sentimental value, if that makes sense? 

There is another watch that is similar to the jacob, but a lot newer. I cannot think of the name right now, but it retails for "RAPE ME" prices.

Nothing special. French made with a heavy artistic influence. We have two Bolido models here an they are pretty cool looking.
