That's process to making Cubans. At least their process. I doubt any of that is scrap. More than likely some 24k gold with alloys to mix down to a 10-14k quality metal.

In the first few pictures I see that there's one box of gold links, and one box of non-gold links. I didn't see them melt em together or nothing. It seems like they just connected the gold links to the non gold ones. (Unless they melted em together to make new links and just didn't include those pics)

Some people get got like that all the time. Smh one of my good friends parents sold a 54 gram rope in 14k for 400 and change. When I told them what it was really worth they were sick.

Impossible to tell but i would say a 1-2mm curb or box chain.
