Cheaper home would be shelter too, just like cheaper car would do for transportation etc. It's all useless when you look at it like that. We don't really NEED a lot of things we take for granted.

I look at it like "it looks nice, I want it" and then hope to get it. Not everything in life needs some bigger purpose than "I like it". I don't think anyone really considers jewelry or such an investment thinking there's money to be made, there's other things in life for that. Like a.... job?

Least with jewelry you're left with something in your hands unlike many other **** people throw money at. I'm sure everyone on here has wasted their fair share on far dumber **** so what's the problem? Stupid **** makes life more enjoyable and looks pretty.

Jewelry is just nice extra for those who can afford it and appreciate it. If you don't like it, don't buy it and ride into the sunset on your high horse laughing at the suckers with diamonds dancing on their wrists.
