6mm cuban from reys, bead chain from lax, Franco from Daniels, and micro Cuban for my son from reys (he didn't make it but he got it from someone he knows)

My stuff all 14k minus the presi Rolex ring that's 18k, probably need to upgrade to a presi eventually

Nice, so that rolex link is a ring? I thought it was some type of bracelet

Yeah I have to get a micro cuban and cross soon for my new godson to give to him at his baptism, can't wait till he's a teenager so I can bless him with his first chunk

Yeah it's a Rolex ring, pretty unique found it at a local cash for gold spot, they were about to melt it I guess, they also had a jubilee version but I passed, should've bought it

thats the bad thing about poor communication and ordering stuff online

I had an issue with a name plate I ordered years ago from trax

in the end I ended up just trading it back to them for scrap value

Yeah the communication issue to me was just as bad as the quality, but again its over and done with, lesson learned and never again, lol

damn I love the lettering on that tho, being a graf artist growing probably makes me a little bias over others on the style but nonetheless i love that letter styling type

but was wrong with it?

it looks rose gold, what was the karat and weight on that ?

thank you, it was 14k rose gold/68grams, about 4 inches wide

i wanted it to be fully 3d, they orginally sent me just a flat name plate, like it took several emails and phone calls back and forth before they figured out what I wanted, and they basically just took another flat piece of gold soldered together

oh ok yeah i got u, basically kind of the same thing that happened to me

so I'm sure you just got frustrated with it, just like I did, and said screw it and just scrap it and move on

yeah this whole process just left a bad taste so I doubt I'll ever deal with anything like this ever again, I'll just stick to the small chains and pieces I have now and the two bracelets

And in the future I'll just spend my money on Breitling's, Omega's and Rolex's and other fine timepieces and my new motto now is if it didn't come from the factory like that then I don't need it, i can't be dealing with the b.s. of custom work with these half *** jewelers and all the issues its brings, I have more important things to worry about, like getting that paper, lol

Let me set the record straight on Rey's.   I have no problems being vocal for a shop I've worked with that has delivered repeatedly, and Rey's has done that.  He is my preferred cuban maker -- as measured by quality, communication, price, and timeliness.  I would *never* go to Daniel's over him unless something material changed.

To date, I've ordered 10MM 14KT bracelets in white gold and yellow gold from Rey.  All were manufactured and delivered inside of a week.  I've ordered twice in 60 days or so.  Rey is the real deal -- I spend $XX,XXX every year on jewelry, and I'll consider him a go to jeweler from now on.  My only wish is he would branch out from cubans. That said, if what you want is a cuban, he's your guy. He delivers.

10MM white gold cuban by Rey / Hermes bracelet / 7 carat F-G/VS/XXX eternity band:

Post icing by Golden Sun -- they iced both the Cuban and the Cartier band:

How many mm is that bracelet?

I remember saying I wouldn't cop jewels online without seeing them in person since homeboy posted his cuban from Daniel's that looked flatter than Shawn Marion's jump shot.

Then the spike lee of this thread and his boyfriend Mr. thanks dad for paying my bills again went to his defense like the yes men that they are

Too funny how that played out. There's just certain things you should always buy in person, like jewelery.

in most cases i agree, its better to buy something in person, because you see exactly what you are getting and no surprises.... @diamondcity did a great job doing my son's lego piece though, and the the big difference between ordering through them and trax was he was on top of his communication, and sending updates like almost everyday.

This my current set up after scraping the chunky set, this one is 18k 33grams

Over a OZ of 18k yellow gold is the business 75% Gold Very Nice man That's a perfect setup also a clean daily piece to rock i would keep it all 18k gold with a nice heavy ring and Bracelet IMO better then a 10k gold chunky setup that probably marks 8k gold

Thanks @LOANSHARK, Yeah my other set up, that I scraped, was 192 grams of 14k from Daniel's which tested out on point, there have never been any issues with their gold testing out below what its stamped, but I do remember someone did post in here fairly recently that something they bought from LAX tested lower than what they were told, so yeah you gotta be careful and check these jewelers and get this stuff tested by someone else or by your self

Yeah Rey sent me this yesterday the beginning of my 18k bracelet in the making, said it will be done be tomorrow or Monday at the latest

love that bracelet. tempted to order one from him because he quoted me a good price for a 10mm bracelet, just not sure if i'd wear it that much . how much extra for the diamonds?
