As some of you may already know, we at NikeTalk recently allocated $6,820 to Kiva.org, a non-profit organization that helps facilitate loans toentrepreneurs in developing nations.

We've issued three loans thus far and you can check their repayment progress on our Kiva lender page: www.kiva.org/lender/NikeTalk

In the past, we've selected loan recipients through a two step process: first, we invite our fellow members to browse kiva.org and nominate their favoriteentrepreneurs, then we vote as a community and complete the loan receiving the most votes.

Due to sharp increases in traffic and lender activity, we've been unable to issue loans using this method. Thanks to thousands of registered Kiva users, loans are being filled faster than ever before. As a result, we've been forced to expedite the process. Below, you'll find a series of five loans tochoose from - each one representing the loan awaiting the greatest amount of funding at the time of this post from entrepreneurs representing five differentcountries.

Simply visit the loan profile page for each one, vote for your favorite, and on Saturday, after the polls have closed, we'll complete the loan up to ourremaining account balance of $3497.75.

If you'd like to support the loans that did not receive the most votes - or any of the loans facilitated by Kiva - please consider registering. You caneven join NikeTalk's lendingteam and have your loans counted towards our community totals on Kiva's leaderboards. Help us pass Brigham Young University and Vancouver, Canada!

Here's a list of our nominees:

Veronica Farel Antezana Group
Saldivar Poty Group

Given that we have under 30 minutes left and in the last 24 hours we've received a mere 14 votes, at this point I'm projecting the Yot Phon Group asthe winner, with a seemingly insurmountable lead of THREE votes.

Anyone care to make things interesting?

Who this new vote came so fast, I thought the previous one was still here.

If I had voted it would have been for

If there are enough loans available, we'll issue the remainder of our Kiva funds next weekend, so stay tuned.

To prevent loans from being fulfilled prior to the completion of our poll, we'll likely need to restrict the polling window to 24 hours - so don'tsleep.

If you didn't get a chance to vote this time, remember that you can still contribute to each of the other candidates by lending as little as $25. If youjoin our lending team, you'll be able to add your loans to our community totals and help us evaluate and increase NikeTalk's overall impact.
