2009 the end for Coldplay?
Chris Martin says 2009 could be the last year for Coldplay.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has suggested the band could go their separate ways next year.
In an interview with the Daily Express, the 31-year-old singer said it is wrong for groups to carry on for too long and claimed the age of 33 is the age when collectives should call it a day.
As a result, the star said the band will make 2009 a busy year, trying to achieve many feats during those twelve months before saying goodbye.
"I'm 31 now and I don't think that bands should keep going past 33. So, we're trying to pack in as much as possible. Up until the end of next year, we'll just go for it in every sense," he told the news provider.
Meanwhile, the band are in contention to win another award.
Their album cover for latest offering Viva La Vida has been nominated for artvinyl.com's Best Vinyl Cover Art 2008 prize.

I'll never understand why the good ones want to go out on top when they can easily take their time with the projects and continue to astonish the massesand the bad ones don't know when to quit. As a band they can impact the industry like a modern day version of The Beatles. Oh well
