I knew I would see Craftsy21 in this topic, he is probably the biggest Patriots hater on nt and wouldn't miss the opportunity to criticize them

Anyways - I was gonna post something similar to this, asking if Brady is being proven to be a system product... i think it's a tough argument either way, but a helluva good question at this point.

I know he's making himself money and I applaud him for it - he's playing his +%* off right now. Do you think that once he gets behind, say... the 49ers swiss cheese offensive line and ends up on his +%* 4 times a half, he'll lose the confidence he built up in New England?
Would Tom Brady be able to operate behind a !$##@* offensive line? I know he can win with no-name receivers, but his line has always looked pretty solid in New England. What about Peyton?
I think Brady's number 1 strength is his ability to stay composed in the pocket. He's so good at avoiding the rush and buying as much time as he can and finding someone. Like...Bledsoe used to get annihilated because he used to get happy feet and start throwing off his back foot when there was any pressure. When Bledsoe went down and Brady stepped in that was the number 1 noticeable difference between the two of them. Obviously there's only so much you can do and if the offensive line really sucks you're gonna get beat up regardless.
I wouldn't call him THEE biggest Pats hater, but I knew he'd make an appearance...Originally Posted by FIRST B0RN

But what QB has ever been able to perform up to their capability with a !%+!## offensive line? Wouldn't that apply to every QB in the league? Some handle !%+!## OL's better than others but, like JD said, one of Brady's greatest skills is being composed in the pocket...even when the pressureis on, he will rarely make a costly mistake or try and force things...Originally Posted by Chester McFloppy

Dude got sacked like every other play...Originally Posted by Chester McFloppy

Good points. I know Peyton can get the happy feet sometimes, and Brady looked a little shaky at times during the SB last year, but he does stay more composed than almost any QB I've ever seen.

Yes, but Matt Cassel hadnt started a game at QB since his SENIOR YEAR of HIGH SCHOOL. you have to give him an adjustment period. But the team isputting up the same type of offensive numbers they did last year for the most partOriginally Posted by DeadsetAce
Disagree.
Brady was clutch without all the weapons.
Brady got the weapons and then DESTROYED the league, had the best season EVER (stat-wise)
Cassel has the weapons and is getting by.
If Brady never went down this year, it would be tough to say that we would have still lost this many games. Maybe 1.
Dammit Chester, you had to bring this up
fair enough. BUT... offensively we're not putting up the same numbers. we've done it two games in a row, and everyone is now acting likecassel in on a 30 td, 4000 yard pace...Originally Posted by Thugnificence

brady wasn't that great statistically in his first yr as a starter. sure he didn't have moss, but he had a better running game anddefense. cassell has better receivers, but the D isn't as dominant as it once was, nor is the running game.Originally Posted by Mez 0ne
Cassel is average at best, but he will get paid this off season.
He is not turning ANY franchise around.
