how ya get your waves ?

im dominican and black so i have somewhat nappy hair , i been brushin and du-rag for 2 weeks i put some carrot creme ...


i got a few waves but i wanna see how you guys got them
 
when i had waves i got mine the same way

india hemp, carrot creme, durag and brush
 
hmmm, just had a pyp thread so i guess it's about time for another waves thread. next is a 9/11 conspiracy thread and maybe a best white tee thread.

No work necessary for me. My hair is naturally curly so the waves pop off pretty nice when it's shorter.

...naw man, not at all...been there donethat....I just feel like a ceasar with a nice taper is much more appealing than waves...

 
by not listening to any of the advice given by the nappy headed bums on niketalk.
figure out a method that best suits your hair texture. less nappy hair waves up better without the use of products.
the essentials are basically a du rag and a brush, get a medium and a soft brush.
best method for basically all hair textures is the h2o method, basically take a spray bottle and wet one side of your hair, brush until its dry, usually itljust take about 70 strokes give or take, repeat on all sides, spray a little of your durag, tie that up. and preferably put a wavecap on over that.

doing that, and dry brushing regularly but not necessarily every waking moment, will give you waves if you wolf it out for a month or so.

when you get your waves always get it cut with the grain, and usually the thumb rule for a mixed person is dont go under a 2.

Nothing new. Part of the reason I grew a fro, wanted to switch it up. But yea, your not going to get waves "just like that". It actually takesdedication
