Y'all complain that people put Pac up there like he is some God, while half theBIG fans on here talk about him like he is some God. BIG put out TWO albums. There is no way in hell ANYONE with two albums should be considered the GOAT. Idon't like Jay outside of Reasonable Doubt and some other tracks, but he has been around long enough and has earned my respect. But BIG only had TWOalbums, is it his fault? They back him now because he's the only rapper that CONSISTENTLY brings them money back. He's went platinum on every single album he's everdropped, he has AT LEAST 3 classics...prolly 4 or 5. So that's half of his catalog...that are classics. Need I continue or can you find anyone who producesresults like that? You can't. God I can't stand attention-w$^#s

Actually, Jay was great even before Def Jam.

If you had any sense, you would know that when Jay-Z originally signed with Roc-A-Fella they were being distributed by Priority Records/EMI. It wasn'tuntil '97 Def Jam officially bought Roc-A-Fella. So the hell you talking about son. Hov been greatness even without Def Jam.

1) your point is proven by a random blog by some chick named sandra rose?
2) You claim Jay is backed by the most powerful label around. As someone already said, he was putting out classics before DJ.
3) He didnt really start getting major promotion for his albums until he became the president. Completely ignoring both of the president era albums, Jay'scatalog is still one of the best ever.
4) You are a damn fool if you think that with ZERO promotion, people like Nas, Rakim, Big Pun and Big L would be above Jay.
