Wow. But anyone who proclaims this album as a classic and/or best album of 2008, or better than CD, Graduation(I'll give you LR because that's my personal favorite), is a STAN.
Let me get this right. You're a stan if you think an album KANYE did is better than another album.

KANYE did.

Even tho both albums were done by

KANYE.

Since you like the "crappy" one you're a STAN.

wow.

if you think 808s and HB is the greatest thing known to hip-hop, go ahead by all means.

LR is not crappy. To me. now, by your logic. Liking the least popular album(on here at least), and realizing that it's not a classic, but personal classic, is stan-worthy?

Scott, I need your toothpick to fling it to you.

You must not understand me

Let me break it down
You said I would quote but too lazy "If you like 808 better than any Kanye album besides LR then you're a stan"
So how can someone be a Stan (my definition: a crazy obsessed fan who thinks everything the artist touches is magical and god like) if they like one piece ofart from an artist over another piece from the same artist? A Stan would like the worst piece from the artist over the best piece from someone else. Your logicdoesnt make sense unless you changed the definition of Stan

nah, I changed the def. for Kanye stans. Because they are mostly the ones who barely even know what hip-hop is.

Like I said, they should give it time, to make a bold statement like that. I can understand(but not agree lol) a post a year from now saying that this albumis his best work.

Opinions change.

I'll bring myself around to listening to it sometime. I didn't even realize it came out when it did. But you gotta realize the impact of his motherdieing may have had a lot to do with it. I mean the cover is a heart half deflated

if its not for you then its not for you.....dont try to force the music on yourself.....this album had to grow on alot of people anyways

Right...what is with this forcing of music anyway? Do you _s really pledge allegiance to these artists???!

Personally, I think the CD is pretty good, it grew on me. Definitely better than Graduation, IMO.
Agreed, except I think the album is great, not just "pretty good."

And who are you to say WHAT hip hop is??????

like i didnt care at first, and thought the album was w/e

but now i find myself listening to joints and just letting the cd flow.. its good vibe music, it just needed more breakdowns and to change up the lyrics morelike he did on Love Lockdown, same catchy flow, different lyrics

I think people are forcing themselves to like this album. I personally only like Robocop, Paranoid and that's about it. AND I'm a Kanye fan. Even wentto the Glow in the Dark tour. It's crazy how people cant realize that this album is trash. Album sales will prove it, and so will time. Nobody will evenknow what 808's and Heartbreaks is in a year or when his next good album (if there's another one... Hopefully there is...) comes out. It's funnyhow people are like "It'll grow on me..." Basically saying "It's not good, but I'll force myself to like it." Disgusting.

Yo, I just could NOT get into Graduation. The beats were good, but his lyrical short-comings were exposed hard when he only talked about himself. I gave itwaaaay more chances than I had to give 808's and to this day, I really don't listen to it like that. I know it's NT's favorite, but I justdon't like the joint.

I liked Good Morning a lot, if that helps.

if you listen to this %@%+ and actually believe anything on it is worth a second listen, i feel sorry for you ... its actually embarassing to kanye as anartist ... i feel like he was disrespectful to his fans putting this %@%+ out

This album is a Hip Pop nightmare.
Record sales are going to prove otherwise, but I won't be wasting my money on another Kanye album.

Excluding Robocop, those the low tier tracks my dude. There's easily hotter +%%! on 808's than Heartless and Love Lockdown.

the album sucks beside amazing. If you are depressed or just got dumped by your girl maybe you will feel it but other than that i cant mess with it.

Word...
People are riding him like no tomorrow.

Now - I won't say it's trash, it contained about 4 good tracks in my opinion.

808's & Heartbreak is not even close towards a masterpiece compared to the last three albums which were amazing.

Album is far from masterpiece status but certain songs put people in a certain mood and mindstate...my dude told me he can actually connect to the songs andfeels where Ye was coming from lyrically....sonically, its a nice switch up and he does say some %%%$ that is deep on a few tracks, but as a whole I am in thatsection that jus doesn't see what all the hub bub is all about....there is a few songs that I'm really feelin, but outside of them, the album is adowner for me...maybe iit will grow on me over time but I doubt it.
