The movie was based on the series of books that were a huge hit. I don't follow it, but if you have a successful saga of books...a movie would be anautomatic hit.

i know it has a huge following and all, just wanted to see if there were people that followed this from the beginning
i remember watching a south park episode poking fun of this whole twilight/vampire craze, didnt know why until someone told me about twilight

I've read the books and they are pretty damn good. I also work in a book store and I see people ranging from 8 year old girls to grown men in militarygirls purchasing the books for themselves, so it's much more then "teen hype". The movie is wack though.

my girlfriend made me watch this movie with her, dont watch it. The movie is terrible, the acting is so over the top, and the main girl is really annoying. ifa calvin klein cologne commercial and an abercrombie and fitch ad were merged together you would get this garbage. i may be biased though because i was alreadyso sick and tired of hearing about the book from my gf weeks before the movie came out.

Both the book and the movie are awful. It's like huge marketing ploy to women like 14-24 or there about. Which automatically means it's senselessgarbage.

Some love story and plot only a girl who lives in reality of false hope could even buy as even remotelyplausible wholly aside from the whole vampire !#%@. It's OD wack. If you know a girl who's into it, if you deal with her, make sure she'sattractive or sexual active enough to make up for that kinda stupidity you're going to or do put up with.

this movie is the epitome of a chick flick, with vampires.
It was entertaining though, and most of the chicks in the movie were nice to look at.
